Halloween Haunt
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

Mood:
Sleepy

This weekend was pretty much fun. Saturday Rob and I got to sleep in a little bit and that night we went to the Halloween Haunt at Knott's. We left around 4:30pm and didn't get there until a little after 7pm. Traffic was a nightmare. As usual, the 5 south from the valley to Buena Park was a parking lot (I don't think I've ever seen that freeway moving). And to add to my driving misery, the street going from the freeway to Knott's was also a parking lot. An hour of the drive was going the few blocks from the 5 to Knott's. But we did eventually make it there. Rob and I met up with Mindy and Kat outside of the park and then headed in together.

We hit a whole bunch of the haunted mazes and rides, but weren't able to get to them all or see any shows. We did the vampire one (which used to be my favorite, but has gotten more lame over recent years), the inquisition (which has always been kind of lame), the post-apocalyptic one (which is pretty cool and reminds me of a GWAR video), the werewolf one (which is now my favorite - and also the log ride), the alice in wonderland one (which really kicks some ass) and the one that has scenes from a whole bunch of horror movies in it (which is also really cool). I wish we could have gotten to see a show or do a few more mazes, but the place was packed.

Mindy took off around midnight because she had work the next day. Don't feel too bad for her though, because her work that weekend entailed hanging out with a bunch of really hot firemen. Kat, Rob, and I took off around 1:30am. I got to see Godzilla (Kat's new car - very nice new Honda Civic in black) and then we parted ways. Rob and I headed home and it took us over a half an hour just to get to the stop light to make a right turn. That place is a total zoo when trying to leave. Almost as bad as trying to get there.

Yesterday we just hung out around the house. I did some of my reading and Rob messed around with the wrestling game on our PS2. We ordered in Italian food and watched TV. Nothing too major, but our bodies were aching from the night at Knott's so it was good to take it easy.

5 more days until my birthday...

Huh?
Find out what anime character cliche you are.

Generally you have good intentions, but you just aren't all there all the time.
You're scatterbrained and you generally don't think before you act.
Common sense left you long ago.
