2002-11-08 4:07 PM Dad Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Happy Read/Post Comments (0) Listening to: The "Once More With Feeling" soundtrack. I am in such a good mood right now. My Dad was able to stop by before catching his flight out of LA. He came over around 1pm and we headed out to the location of my wedding. He looked around and thought it was cool. I'm glad he liked it. He and I then headed over to a local Starbucks and got some coffee. Ah, caffeine and attorneys go well together. We talked about stuff in general and I told him about some of my classes. We weren't able to hang out for too long. He had to head out to LAX around 3pm 'cause he has a flight back to Chicago, but still, it was great being able to see him. So now I'm just messing around on the net and dreading getting back to work. I have a ton this weekend (what's new?). I have a direct examination that I have to write up and memorize for Trial Practice on Monday and a ton of reading for my other classes. Unfortunately the girl playing my witness is going to be out of town all this weekend and won't be back until right before class on Monday. What that means is that my direct is going to suck because I won't have any time to prep her. Oh well, at least it's a pass/fail class. So, our apartment has another bug invasion. At least this time it's not way disgusting. We have moths everywhere. Looks like we weren't able to find all of the cocoons and larva of the creepy worms. Unfortunately that also means the cycle will begin anew and we'll be getting nasty as worms again sometime in the next few weeks. *shudders* It's so sad - we have a cold and wet squirrel out on the balcony. And last night there was a cold and wet possum shivering outside of our window. I so wish I could bring them inside and wrap them in a blanket. Get them warm and dry until the rain passes. Unfortunately they probably all have rabies so I won't. I just wish I could do something to help keep them warm and dry. I know they're outside animals and can take care of themselves, but still, I hate seeing an animal in pain or discomfort. It's one of my big time soft spots. ----------
