Thoughts and Musings

Yay! My trial is over. Trial Practice is over. My Race and the Law paper has been turned in. My Race and the Law class is over. Now, I only have to worry about my finals for Community Property, Communications Law, and Sentencing & Corrections. Finally, I can relax a little bit and not be freaking out about something. I'm sure the anxiety will start once again when finals get near, but I've got about two weeks before they begin. If I manage my time right then two weeks should be enough time to study for three finals. It is so nice to have two of my classes out of the way.

Today is my uber late day. I got here a little before 8am and my last class doesn't get out until around 9pm. However, I'm not too bothered by staying late tonight because this is the last day of class (of the fall semester). One more semester to go and then I am outta here! I don't know whether to be happy that I'm almost done with law school or scared of the fact that I still have no job prospects. I think I'll be a little bit of both.

I just hope that I can stay awake today. I don't know if Red Bull and caffeine pills can aid me today. I didn't get much sleep at all last weekend due to the enormous amount of work I had to do. Last night I had hoped that I could get a good night's sleep. I was in bed by 10pm. However, I got maybe about an hour or two hours of sleep - max. I was kept up all night because every time I would begin to fall asleep I would have acid reflux. It so sucked ass. And I am so wiped today. I think I'll sleep all through tomorrow. That would be so nice. I honestly don't remember the last time I got even six hours of sleep.

Speaking of last weekend - wow, that was a nightmare. I didn't go out at all over the entire weekend except for one brief trip to Kinko's on Sunday night in order to enlarge a few memos for the jury to see. I spent the whole weekend behind my laptop working. I really hope I never have to go through anything like that again.
