Rob's Big Dic

Back in high school I had a teacher who used to threaten to whip out his enormous dic whenever one of his students didn't know the meaning of a word. Ever since then the "big dic" has been a euphemism I use when referring to a dictionary.

The reason for the title of this posting is because I have realized that Rob has his own dictionary in his head. And so, I thought I would keep a log of amusing things from Rob. Here are the ones from this weekend:

-- "A Bunny in the Oven": This is Rob's term for when someone is pregnant.
As a side note, I did explain to him that the saying was "bun in the oven". He said that made a lot more sense and that he never really understood why someone would stick a bunny in the oven. *sigh*

-- "The Santa Anita Winds": This is Rob's term for the winds we have been having recently. You know, the strong winds that bring dry and warm weather with them.
As a side note, I told him that Santa Anita was a race track and that it was the Santa Ana winds. However, he then tried to cover himself by saying he really meant the winds that the dogs or horses (or whatever animal they race there) make when they run very fast.

-- "Wierd": Rob's spelling of the word "weird".
I have told him many times that he spells it wrong. But he insists his is the correct spelling because of that whole "i before e except after c" rule.

Rob's odd pronounciations:

Draw - his way of saying drawer.
Dorf - his way of saying dwarf.
Arrnj - his way of saying orange.
Maelk - his way of saying milk.

Okay, so when I have more amusing Robisms I'll post them. Unless they're truely scary, in which case they'll go in the private entries so he can't see that I put them up here and then hunt me down and tickle me until I pee.

I got word today that a long time friend of mine, Kat Figueroa (I've known her for around 15 years) is now pregnant. She and her husband Marcello are expecting around July of 2003. They don't yet know if it's a boy or a girl because it's too early. I don't know if she reads this or not, but CONGRATULATIONS KAT!!!. Looks like she has a "bunny in the oven".

Which Female Buffy Character are you? Find out!

*sigh* I think I've gotten this in almost every "Buffy" quiz I have ever taken. Bite me Berek!
