This is so weird. I'm here in my apartment by myself. I have nothing to do other than futz around on the net and get some laundry done. My Mom is currently somewhere in the midwest and Rob's at work. I should be happy that I'm now on break. I should be all relaxed - but instead I'm bored and kind of lonely. It was nice having my Mom out here and now I miss her. *sigh* I always get depressed when she leaves. I need to find something to do over the next few days.

Yesterday my Mom and I decided to stay inside and just relax. It was nasty outside and neither of us felt like driving in the rain and wind. So, we just chilled until around 5pm and then we took Sydney to the vet.

The vet looked him over and she said she couldn't see anything in his throat. So he's now on antibiotics and pain medication because she thinks it's some sort of kitty sore throat thing. However, she said if he keeps it up over the next few days to bring him back in. I really hope he ends up being all right. He's my baby.

We met Rob at home after the vet appointment and then the three of us headed out to Benihana (the one on Ventura in Encino) for dinner. We had a good time and then headed back to our apartment and watched TV for a bit.

This morning my Mom took off way early (8am flight out of LAX). Chances are she's currently making the drive from Milwaukee's airport back to her home in Galena. I slept in for a bit today and it felt so good. It's nice not to have any responsibilities for a while. I will have homework due for the first day of class, but I won't worry about that until the new year. Around January 2 I'll probably get my books and do my reading up at school for a day. But until then - freedom. Yay!

Not much is going on with me today. I'm just hanging out, kind of bored, and doing the laundry. Rob and I are considering doing some holiday shopping tonight if he's not too tired when he gets home from work.
