A Little Sleepy

Read/Post Comments (2)

I didn't do much last night. Once again I took a nap when I got done with my work and Rob woke me up when he got home from work. We just ordered in some pizza and watched some TV. I needed to get to bed at a decent hour because I had the last Bar Bri class today.

This morning SUCKED MASSIVE ASS. I got up at 6am as usual and was all ready to go to my last Bar/Bri class. I headed down to my car only to find out that I wouldn't be going to class today. I had a flat tire. Fuck. So, I called AAA and had them come over and change the tire. I have no clue how to change a flat and even if I did I probably wouldn't be strong enough to do it on my own. AAA came out here with amazing speed (around 15 minutes) and once they changed the tire Rob and I headed over to the Lexus dealer to get the tire fixed. Unfortunately, it wasn't just a nail in the tread which they could patch up. It was a decent sized piece of metal in the inside wall of the tire. Looked like shrapnel or something like that. They had to replace the entire tire which cost a decent amount. Rob and I waited for the car to be fixed - since it was Saturday and they were way busy they didn't have any loaner cars left to give me. The wait wasn't too bad, maybe about an hour and a half or so and the waiting room was very nice. While I was checking out I was talking with the cashier who lost his car completely. Someone set fire to his neighbor's car, and ALL the other cars in the carport had a chain reaction and blew up. Poor guy's car is toast and he only had liability insurance. *ack* Kind of makes me almost appreciate having only a flat. Though I have to say I am glad for some stuff - it could have been way worse. I'd much rather go down to find a flat than to have yet another blow out on the freeway. And I'd rather have it happen on a day when class isn't super important than when I have somewhere I HAVE to be at (like I dunno, say the bar). So, things sucked this morning, but they could have been way worse.

Once Rob and I got out of the dealership we made a quick stop at the Glendale Galleria. I stopped in Payless and got some cute flip flop sandals (I needed new sandals because all my other ones have ankle straps on them - and I can't wear ankle straps with my new tattoo while it's healing). The flip flops are very cool - white kind of platform ones with white sequins on the toe thongs. When I was done in Payless, Rob headed into Mervyn's because he needed some work clothing. He got a new pair of work pants (yes, black) and a really cool button up work style shirt in a dark green (gasp, color on Rob) which looks incredible on him. We were going to grab lunch at the Mongolian Barbecue place there, but there was some funky ass smell that was making me nauseous so we just took off.

After Glendale we hit the Burbank Media City Center. We immediately grabbed some lunch in the food court. Then we headed across the way to the movie theatre and decided to catch a matinee showing of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. You know something, it was way better than I thought it would be. I had heard bad reviews on it and so I was just expecting a cheesecake flick, but it was actually pretty cool. Definitely worth seeing just for a bit of fluffy fun. When the movie was over we decided to do some shopping. We hit Hot Topic where Rob got me this adorable HUGE stuffed Care Bear Cousins penguin and I picked up some Tinkerbell sandals for Carrie (she already knows about them and so I can post about it). The we stopped in Sam Goody and I got the Charlie's Angels soundtrack because when we were watching the film both Rob and I thought the soundtrack was kick ass. From there we hit Lane Bryant were I got some olive green cargo pants and a pair of black silk cargo pants. And finally we went into Express where I got a pair of blue and pink flip flops.

After the mall we headed back home. I was all hot and sweaty from running around all day so I immediately took another shower. It felt so incredible to be cool once more. I think tonight Rob and I are going to watch some TV or maybe a DVD and just snuggle up on the couch. We had quite an active day and spending the night in and cuddled up next to him sounds amazing right now.

I watch this show regularly on Adult Swim and I can say that I really don't think this one is fitting at all. Oh well, I'm still posting it 'cause I love the show.

Bob Oblong: You are strangly upbeat & moralistic.
The worst word youve ever said was
"fool". You have no limbs. You smoke
a pipe.

Which Oblong character are you?
