Amusement Park Fun

Yesterday was amazing. I had more fun yesterday that I have had in a long while. Unfortunately, I got next to no sleep on Saturday night. Insomnia struck again and I wasn't able to fall asleep until around 6:20am. This bit ass because the alarm went off at 6:30am. So, I was going on only 10 minutes of sleep.

Even though I was tired as all hell I showered and got ready for Berek and Pita to stop by. I didn't care how tired I was, Disneyland and California Adventure awaited!

Berek and Pita came by the house around 7:30am and we took off shortly thereafter. When we got to the park Rob and I got annual passes. We headed into Disneyland and got our passes processed. My name didn't fit on the pass and so they told me if I ever have a problem at the gate to look me up in the computer system. It's in the system correctly, but wouldn't fit on the pass. *sigh* Doing the whole hyphen thing with my name can get really annoying at times, but what can I do about it? I refuse to give up the name that I have had for close to 30 years now. And I wanted to add my husband's name as well. Oh well, I just have to deal with the pains in the ass that it sometimes causes I guess.

After we got our passes we decided to hit a few of the Disneyland rides. We did Pirates and the "Nightmare Before Xmas" version of the Haunted Mansion. All I can say is WOW. I have never seen the "Nightmare Before Xmas" version of the Haunted Mansion before and it blew me away. It was too cool for words.

The four of us then headed across the way to the California Adventure park. Neither Rob nor myself had ever been there before so we let Berek and Pita be our guides. We grabbed some lunch and then went around the park. I really liked the park. We only went on two rides (the ferris wheel with the moving carriages and the glider simulation), but we had a blast. Just walking around and seeing the park was super fun. The park was incredible and I was surprised to see how well Disney used what little space it had from the old parking lot. We wandered around, played with some water stuff, watched some animation, and had a great time. In the animation place we all took a quiz which says which Disney character (good and evil) you are most like. I got Cinderella for the good character and the Evil Queen (from Snow White) for the evil one. Rob got Woody (from Toy Story) for the good one and Hades for the evil one. Berek only took the good one and got Cogsworth. Pita also only took the good one and got some weird purple bug.

After California Adventure we headed to Downtown Disney. We looked around some shops and had dinner at a cajun place with very yummy (and fish free) gumbo. Then we hopped onto the monorail and headed back into Disneyland. We rode the Matterhorn (which was a huge mistake when it was cold and dark - the wind in my face left me coughing for the rest of the night - keep in mind I still have walking pneumonia) and did Pirates and the Haunted Mansion one more time. We headed out of the park right before it closed.

We were all tired and my legs were killing me when we headed back to the car. Berek drove us home and dropped us off at our apartment. Rob and I immediately went to bed and fell asleep once our head touched the pillow.

Not much is going on here today. I slept in because I was exhausted from yesterday (and my legs are still sore). I watched some TV, talked on the phone with Carrie for awhile, and am now getting some laundry done. Rob's going to cook for me tonight (pasta and garlic bread - YUM!) and we'll probably just mess around on Neopets or watch some TV.

rapier
You are a rapier! You"re fast and very sharp.
Your only weakness is that in certain
situations you can be thin and easily
breakable.

What kind of sword are you?
