As I said before, Rob and I slept in today. Once we got out of bed and got showered and ready we decided to head out and see Jersey Girl at the AMC theatre in the Burbank mall.

We got to the mall around 6pm. We had time to look around in a few stores (I got a suit jacket at Lane Bryant) and grab some food at the food court. It was already 6:30pm by the time we got food, but it was still kind of lunch to us because we hadn't yet eaten anything all day long.

After eating we headed in to the theatre to see the 7:25pm showing of Jersey Girl. Wow, Kevin Smith movies have changed *a lot*. I've always been a pretty big Kevin Smith fan and with the exception of Chasing Amy have really loved all of his previous films. I really can't say that I liked Jersey Girl all too much. I will say that it is a very well done movie, it's just not the type of movie I like and it's not at all what I expected from a Kevin Smith film. Rob did seem to enjoy it though. I will also say that it was rather disturbing to see the sequence where Jennifer Lopez's character dies during labor. That part gave me the creeping willies because I've been told that with some of the health problems I have that if Rob and I have a child I might not make it through labor. I've still been considering trying to have one (need to talk to a high risk pregnancy doctor when we're ready), so needless to say that scene kind of wigged me out a bit. Anyway, while it was a very well done movie, it wasn't the type of movie I really like so I have to say that I wasn't too fond of it. I much prefer the kind of movies that Kevin Smith used to make.

After the movie we made a run to the drug store, to the ATM, and to the grocery store. Rob promised to cook me breakfast and he is doing so as I type. Sure, it's 2:06am, but it's breakfast nonetheless. We're still very awake and decided to make the food now because we're hungry and have only had one meal today. He's making bacon, eggs, and toast with milk and OJ. Probably not the best thing in the world for his cholesterol, but he's been eating very well recently and so we both decided to say "to hell with it" and make a yummy breakfast meal that we would both enjoy.
