*sigh* Just because I'm actually getting used to the rejection letters doesn't make it any easier. Still no phone calls or interviews. But the rejection letters keep on coming. If you're wondering why this whole job hunt thing keeps getting me so depressed, here's the letter I got yesterday. It's pretty much what I'm getting from any place that responds to me.

"Thank you for your recent inquiry concerning the possibility of employment with LAW FIRM'S NAME. We have been fortunate to receive resumes from a number of highly qualified applicants and I wish I had better news to report about the availability of entry-level associate positions with our firm.
Having consulted with members of the firm's employment committee, I regret to inform you that we are unable to pursue employment discussions with you. Due to the success of our recent summer associate programs, we anticipate very few openings for junior and entry-level associates this year. Upon careful review of your qualifications, we do not have an available position for you.
Though we regret that we will be unable to meet with you personally, we appreciate your interest in LAW FIRM'S NAME and on behalf of the firm, I wish you success in your legal career."

I truely and utterly hate job hunting. There's not much more depressing out there. And sadly enough, it doesn't look as if it's going to be getting any better. The news actually made mention the other night that the current job market (I'm not sure if they meant in LA or in the country - it was on the LA news) is at an all time low since the end of World War II. Sadly enough, I believe it because I've been out of school for a year now and have been a sworn in attorney for 5 months now and still haven't gotten a single interview. It's days like this that I wonder why the hell I bothered with law school in the first place.
