Another Mall Run

Mood:
Desiring snugglies from my Rob.

Yesterday Rob and I slept in a bit and then headed out to the Northridge mall. There were some more things I was looking for and we hadn't been there in awhile. The drive there was fairly congested and it took around 20 minutes to find a parking spot once we got there. The mall was packed.

Our first stop was Torrid (how I love that store). I tried on a whole bunch of stuff, but only ended up getting two "Happy Bunny" t-shirts. I had wanted to find a swim suit (they have some rather cool ones there), however they didn't pan out. Unfortunately, all of the suits had these weird molded cup bras inside of them. So, while the suit fit fine, my boobs were way too big to fit into the molded cups. That's my main problem with finding swimwear. I need something without the molded cups because my boobs are rather large.

After Torrid we went to Lane Bryant and I was able to pick up two pairs of "pedal pusher" jeans for this summer. I don't wear shorts per se, and because I'm a bit on the short side crop pants just hit my ankles. So the "pedal pusher" style looks the best when I'm going for something summery. Oddly enough I found that in pants I'm now one size down, but in shirts I'm the same. I just wish my boobs would go down when I lose weight. I'm not really trying anything new and I'm still on the steroids for my asthma, so I'm kind of surprised that I'm losing some weight. Not a ton, but enough that I'm noticing a difference in my clothes. Very cool.

We hit Old Navy next to look for more piggy banks to add to our collection. It all started with one that Berek brought to us that his brother Ben didn't want anymore. A blue Old Navy piggy bank. Rob and I then bought a pink one and one with hearts on it off of eBay. Yesterday we managed to find a pink punk rock one with a blue mohawk and a zebra one. We also picked up a teeny one with red, white, and blue flowers on it. Old Navy piggy banks are my new collecting obsession. Hey Mom, at least it's not stuffed animals! Right?

We looked around the mall a bit more and then decided to head out to dinner. We went to a nearby Sizzler and then headed back to our neck of the woods. On the way home we stopped at the grocery store for a few things and at the gas station on the corner so I could fill the car up with gas. Gas prices in California scare me. I don't know what they are where you live, but I just paid $2.54 a gallon for mid-grade (it ran around $35 to fill up my tank when it was 3/4 of the way down). And sadly enough, that's down from what it was about a month ago. Heh. I'm glad my Luthor gets good gas milage. I would hate to still be driving the Mustang I used to have (which was a huge gas guzzler) with these prices.

When we got home we decided just to chill out around the house for the rest of the evening. So, we watched some TV and then went to bed.
