Dog Looks Like A Baby

Last night after Rob got home from work we once again headed over to the Westfield mall in Sherman Oaks. Even though the new glasses I bought at my Mom's house looked way cute on me, I needed to trade them in for a new pair. As Rob said, they might be cute, but comfort and wearability is more important. I'm happy that Lenscrafters has a 30 day guarantee. Since I need glasses, I decided to do the trade and not the refund.

Our first stop at the mall was indeed Lenscrafters. I picked out a new frame and did the exchange. I like the look of plastic frames on me, but my nose is too little and they just keep sliding off of my head. So, I went with metal frames. They're a really cute oval pair. I like them better than my current glasses, so I'm happy with them. I did, however, have to pay a bit for the exchange. The frames that I chose yesterday were a bit more expensive than the ones that I got at my Mom's place (and I needed to pay the difference between them) and the lenses I got were anti-glare coated (so I needed to pay the lens difference as well since the lenses in the ones I was returning were not anti-glare). All in all I was happy with my decision. Since it takes around an hour for them to make the glasses, Rob and I hit the mall for some shopping and dinner.

We made a brief stop in Sephora and then went to the food court for some Subway. We saw the weirdest thing while eating our Subway. There was a dog in a baby stroller. The dog started yipping and the lady with the stroller freaked out and got out of there pretty quickly. Now, I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this mall does not allow dogs in it. And if for some strange reason it did, I highly doubt it would be allowed in an area where food is prepared and eaten. After dinner we headed into a bookstore and I saw another strange sight. In the back section (kids area) there was a older guy holding a white frou-frou dog that was dressed in a baby's romper and bonnet. When he saw me he turned the dog towards him and started pretending like it was a baby (I would assume because he didn't want me to know it was a dog). I went back to the front of the store in shock and told Rob about it. He was also weirded out. I don't know if it was the same dog that was in the stroller or not, but neither the woman who was pushing the stroller nor the stroller itself was back with the guy, so I'm thinking this might have been a different dog. Too bizarre. Who the hell takes their dog to the mall, let along pushes them in a stroller or dresses them up like a baby? I'm telling you, LA is a place full of freaks. Before Rob and I headed out of the bookstore we each bought a pack of D&D minis.

We then headed back to Lenscrafters were I picked up my new glasses. I tried them on and they fit well and don't tend to slip off my head. Yay! After picking up the glasses I took a peek in the Coach store (no, I didn't buy anything) and then we headed out of the mall. We made a stop at the grocery store on the way home. Once we got home, we settled in and watched some TV and then headed to bed.
