The Parking Dance

Last night Rob and I headed to Burbank for dinner and a movie. Now, there's something that Rob's been doing recently that's a little odd (though I can't deny that it works) that I thought I should fill you in on. Whenever we're in a crowded parking lot that looks like we won't be finding a space anytime soon he does this weird little "parking dance" and a spot opens up. I was skeptical at first as well, but now there is no denying the power of the parking dance. Pita saw it when we were at the mall last weekend. We had been looking for a spot for a bit, Rob did the parking dance, and one *immediatly* opened up. The same thing happened when we went back to the mall the next day. He did the dance before we got there and a spot opened up right where I was pulling into the lot. He also did this at a movie theatre last weekend where it's usually impossible to find parking. He did the dance and once again someone *immediatly* pulled out of a spot in front of us. This has been happening over and over again, and last night was no exception. We went into the lot right by the AMC which is usually full, he did the dance, and a spot opened up - and it was one of the few spots on that level that wasn't reserved for Ross! There is no denying it. Rob has some weird parking dance magic.

So, after we parked thanks to Rob and his parking dance, we headed to Fuddruckers for dinner and then to a 7:45 showing of Anacondas. During the ads that come on before the previews we saw a commercial for a movie that was going to air on Telemundo. It listed a bunch of actors who neither Rob nor myself had ever heard of (granted, that might be because we don't watch Telemundo) and then proceeded to call it an "all-star cast". At that, Rob looked at me and said "All-star cast? How can they call it an all-star cast? It doesn't even have Andy Dick in it! At least I know who the hell Andy Dick is! I don't even know who any of those people are". That was the point when I laughed and schnerted a gummy fruit into my brain.

Anacondas really wasn't all that bad. It was definitely a bit better that I had thought it was going to be. I'd have to say that this falls into the mindless fun category of films. We went in expecting a big snake movie, and that's exactly what we got. A big snake movie. Nothing more, and nothing less. And it was just bad enough to be fun.

After the movie we stopped to fill my car up with gas (sheesh, $26 for half a tank) and then made a stop at the ATM. We then headed home and chilled out around the house.
