Thanks to Rob's parking dance, we were able to find a spot in a very crowded (but very convenient) parking lot. We ate dinner at Romano's Macaroni Grill. We've never been there before and decided to check it out. It was very... okay. Nothing spectacular and I think I prefer The Olive Garden. The food was okay. The one super cool thing was that the tables were covered in paper and they gave you crayons so you could draw all over the table. In my opinion, more restaurants need to let you draw on the tables. After dinner we saw a 7:45 showing of Shaun of the Dead. The movie was incredible. Both Rob and I loved it and I think this is something I will be buying when it comes out on DVD. It was like nothing I had ever seen before - super funny in some spots, and super scary and gross in others. The fact that it was funny made the creepy scenes all the worse. One minute you're laughing and the next minute you're wincing as one of the main characters is getting evicerated by zombies. Combining horror and comedy is a bit weird, but it worked. I recommend it to anyone who likes REALLY weird comedies, horror movies, or just zombie movies in general. One of the things that I caught in it (that Rob didn't because he's never seen the original Night of the Living Dead) was when Shaun called his Mom to tell her they were going to head over to her house. The line was "We're coming to get you Barbara!". I think I might have been the only one in the theatre to get that reference because I was the only one who snickered at that line. But like I said, very good movie. After the movie we made a stop at the ATM and then headed home where we watched the Survivor we had recorded when we were out and played some D&D minis. That game is so addictive. ----------
