Tonight was D&D and a potluck dinner. Rob and I did dinner (he made spaghetti). Berek and Pita brought dessert (penis shaped cupcakes - aka cockcakes). And Bryce and Carrie brought snacks and drinks. Pita decided to take her half-dragon Druid out of the game and bring in a new character. A Kobold Rogue/Assassin. Sweet. Her character isn't meshing perfectly with the group, but that should change over time.

Most of the time was spent with us doing out of character socializing. The game itself was pretty short due to a wonderful and huge thing happening during dessert. I'd love to post about it now, but I promised the parties involved that I will wait until one of them posts about it. So, I'll tell you all the big thing that happened when I'm allowed to. Let's just say - it was a wonderful and amazing moment for the people involved. Details to come later.

After game wrapped up our kitchen sink backed up in a big and nasty way. There was black sludge everywhere and when we tried to plunge it the water just switched between sinks. Ew. So, we called the emergency maintanence number and someone came over within the hour. He used a vaccum to suck the gunk out of there, but the problem won't be able to be fixed until sometime tomorrow. Apparently something backed up in the pump room below us. We just need to hope that no one in any of the apartments directly above us uses their kitchen sinks. Or everything is going to back up into ours and end up soaking our kitchen. Too gross. I just hope they get the problem fixed before we need to leave for Knott's. We can't have them come into our apartment when we're gone because Sydney always tried to escape every time the front door is opened. And the last thing I need right now is to lose my baby.

Oh, and as a side note I'm not feeling too good right now. Rob's flu shot contained a live virus that made him a little bit sick. I caught that virus from him and now I'm in the beginning stages of being sick. Ack. This means if he can find a flu shot for me, I won't be able to get one because they won't give them to people who are already sick. Fuck.
