Yesterday was Pita's birthday and a large group of us were going to have dinner at the Spaghetti Factory. Around 7pm Berek, Berek's dad, and Pita swung by the apartment to pick Rob and I up. Dinner was set for 7:30 and we got there around 7:20. Those that were there were Berek, Pita, Rob, myself, Berek's dad, Val (Ben's girlfriend), Ben (Berek's brother), Shannon, Al, Carrie, Bryce, Julia, and two friends of Pita's that I had never met before. We sat around a long table and had fun. However, I learned that the Spaghetti Factory isn't a place that I'll be going back to anytime soon. The food was... meh. Not bad, but not good. The drinks were great though. However, I didn't realize until after having two "Strawberry Shortcakes" that there was Amaretto in them. I'm allergic to almonds. Luckily, all the allergy does it give me nausea. Towards the end of the night I wasn't feeling too good. On the way home I started having a severe allergic reaction to something - the same reaction I have when I eat shellfish (which makes me wonder if my food touched a shellfish entree or if my almond allergy has gotten worse). My neck started swelling up and my throat started closing up. The minute we got back to the apartment I ran up and popped one of the pills I have on hand for when I have one of those life threatening reactions. Rob watched me because if it got any worse I was going to need to go to the ER. Luckily, the pill helped and slowly but surely the swelling in my neck went down and my throat started opening back up. That was a scary experience. It's really freaky because I know that those reactions are ones that have the potential to kill me.

One thing I forgot to mention about Halloween that I thought was funny. Rob was a total gay magnet that night. At one point Shannon went up to a guy dressed in an outfit that resembled Brad Pitt's in Troy (just shin armour and a man-armor-skirt with a sword - no shirt and a nicely oiled chest - she and I were too tipsy to realize he had to be gay in an outfit like that) and slapped handcuffs on his sword. He then started talking to us and flirting with Rob. He asked Rob to take off his werewolf mask and then started telling Rob that he looked soooo hot without the mask and that he should keep it off. He also started giving Rob a bit of a backrub. Later on, when Shannon told him that Rob was my husband he asked if we would be willing to swing. Um... no. I'm not and I really don't think Rob is interested in being with a man. On the way out of the club another guy hit on him. We were making our way through a crowd of people when a guy ran his foot up the inside of Rob's leg and said "Hey there." Rob ignored him (and was oblivious of the flirting) and headed out of the club with us. Wow, first the girl on the subway telling Rob he looked gay and now Rob's a gay magnet. Does he look gay?
