2005-01-13 11:27 PM Wired Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Annoyed Read/Post Comments (5) Tonight, when Rob got home from work, he hooked me up to the heart monitor. This means I won't have to worry about wearing it at D&D tomorrow night. It also means I won't have to annoy our D&D group by asking them all to turn off their cell phones. I don't know why, but I can't use a cell phone or have one anywhere near me (that's on) while I'm wearing this heart monitor. It blows. It blows big time. I've found out the hard way that I'm allergic to the adhesive on the back of the stickie pads, so I'm now all itchy and rashy under the pads. Plus, when I move or sit or anything they feel like they're going to come off. How am I supposed to go about "normal daily life" if I have to keep worrying about the pads coming off? The unit that the wires are attached to is big and bulky and in a pack that's hanging around my neck. That pack is giving me back pains. I have five wires attached to me. One over my heart in the center of my chest, one a little to the left of it, one right below my cleavage, and one on each side over my ribs. It's extremely uncomfortable and I won't be able to shower until it's off, so tomorrow I'm going to be all grungy. The unit was attached to me around 6:45 this evening and I can take it off around 6:45 tomorrow night. That should leave me the time to shower before people arrive for the D&D game. I can't wait until that time because every minute this thing is on me is a minute too long. Bleh. ----------
