Due to road closures, I did not make it to Dalsimer on Saturday. From the sounds of it, neither did Shannon. Oh well, we'll just use all that pent up judging energy on those first years. *insert evil laugh here*

Saturday Rob and I had wanted to do a day trip to Solvang, but neither of us got any sleep Friday night so the trip was an impossibility. We didn't even fall asleep until around 8am. Ugh. So, we spent a good part of the day sleeping. In the evening we headed out to Santa Monica. We wandered around the mall for a bit and picked up a massage thing at Bath and Body Works and a new quote board at Hot Topic. After the mall we headed over to Buca Di Beppo for dinner. That place is addicting. Unfortunately, there was an hour wait and I hadn't eaten all day. I'm hypoglycemic and my blood sugar was crashing hard. I was also extremely stupid and thought I would be fine waiting until we were seated to get something into me. By the time we got the table and got our food, I had a super bad headache, was dizzy, and felt like I was about to pass out. The food was good and made me feel a bit better. A lot of the headache and other symptoms subsided. I thought I was going to be fine from then on. On the way back to the car Rob stopped in at a new crepe place to try a dessert crepe. The minute we walked in the place, I felt super sick. The lights hurt my eyes and the smell of the food made me feel like I was about to throw up. Looks like I waited to long to quell my hypoglycemic problem and I ended up with a migraine. Rob got a crepe, but I couldn't eat anything for fear of throwing up. On the way home we stopped at a drug store and Rob ran in to get me some pills. The pills helped with the headache, but by that time I felt wrecked. So, we skipped our plans to stop by The Pleasure Chest and just headed home so I could crash.

On the bright side, my being sick on Saturday night and just crashing early meant that it wasn't too hard to get up super early on Sunday morning. The alarm went off at 7am and other than being groggy, I felt much better. So, we decided to do the day trip to Solvang. Rob drove. It's so nice that he's still in the new driver stage of really enjoying to drive. I hope that stays around a good long time because I absolutely hate driving. We got the sausage platter at the place next to the blue windmill right when we got there. We then spent the rest of the day wandering around town. I picked up a stuffed gnome for Pita and Rob got me a bag of shiny rocks for my jug of rocks at a toy store. I also picked up some animal rock totems (a tiger and a turtle for me and a gargoyle for Rob) at The Mystic Merchant and two dragon statues for my collection at another store. One is the rainbow hatchling. The other, is a retired one that the place was selling for BELOW normal price. It's a sitting up green one. Down the road, there are three retired hatchlings I want to try and hunt down on E-Bay (green, white, and I think there's a brown one out there as well).

When we were done wandering around and shopping we went to the De-Stress Cafe for massages. I love that place. I got a 20 minute seated massage and a 30 minute reflexology foot massage. Rob got a 45 minute table massage. By the end, both of us were feeling incredible. After massages we went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner (The Mandarin Touch) which always has super yummy food (and is the only place I've ever found that has sizzling rice soup with no seafood in it). When we were done with dinner we headed home. A brief stop was made by Berek and Pita's apartment. Berek wasn't there, but Pita was and I was able to give her the stuffed gnome I got for her. Rob and I have decided that she now collects gnomes and so we're going to keep getting her gnome things. We then headed home and crashed.

Nothing of interest is going on today. I'm doing laundry, working on job hunting, and waiting for Rob to come home. We're going to stay in, cook dinner (his uber yummy tuna casserole), and get laundry and some cleaning done around here.

Of course I'm in a good mood! I went to Solvang yesterday.

You Are In a Good Mood
Today, you're feeling pretty together and happy.
While not everything is going you're way, you're keeping things in perspective.
And it seems like things are looking up for you!
