2005-03-15 3:40 PM Trip To The Police Station Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Busy with household crap. Read/Post Comments (1) Last night we needed to go to the police station, so we decided to just make a night out of it. When Rob got home from work we went to the Sherman Oaks mall to check something out at Pottery Barn and then headed to dinner at The Daily Grill. The food was yummy, but the portions are scary big. I got pesto penne and ate a decent amount, but it didn't even look like I made a dent in the bowl. Rob's chicken pot pie was the size of an actual pie! *Meeps* After dinner we went to The Coffee Bean because we're now addicted to that Lavender Mint Tea that they have. It's just so damn good. From there we headed to our local police station. We had a bit of a wait when we got there, but it wasn't a big deal. We just felt sorry for the cop who was dealing with someone on the phone who seemed deserving of a Scarlet S. Apparently someone called in about a bike that had been stolen. They couldn't figure out when they last saw it, didn't know what brand it was, didn't know what kind it was, didn't know what color it was, and didn't believe the officer when he said he needed all this information so he could fill out the report. I think when he got to Rob and I he was glad to see that we knew what we were doing. Not only did we have a print out of all transactions in the accounts within the last month (with the fradulent withdrawals highlighted in yellow and the service charges for those withdrawals highlighted in blue) but we also brought along a written and signed statement from Rob about *everything* that happened an the order it happened in. The cop thanked us for making his job a lot easier with that case. On our way our there was another Scarlet S phone call to the police station. Someone called 911 and wanted the police to come and arrest someone for cussing at them. The officer tried explaning to the person that 911 was for emergencies only and that the police deal with CRIMES and that cussing at someone is not a crime. I feel so sorry for those cops. They must have a whole bunch of Scarlet S stories. After the police station we made a brief stop home and then headed out to the Linens N Things in Burbank. They didn't have what we were looking for, so we got some doughnuts at Krispy Kreme and then headed home. Today, it's laundry time. Of just the clothes, there's probably more to do that can be done in one day. Ugh. I have another update on our accounts. Apparently there's been some sort of problem with putting the money back in, so it's still on hold and we still have no access to it. Rob also hasn't gotten a new ATM card yet either. I really hope this is all figured out by this weekend otherwise neither Rob nor myself will be buying drinks at Dungeon. ----------
