2005-03-27 1:11 AM Too Sick For Solvang Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Sick Read/Post Comments (2) Rob and I got up early this morning because we were originally going to head up to Solvang. When we woke up I wasn't feeling too hot and Rob was feeling like total crap. He just wasn't up for the drive there and back, which was totally understandable, so we decided to skip it and maybe hit it one of these upcoming weekends. We went back to sleep because we were both exhausted. Whatever bug we both have has knocked us on our asses and makes us super tired. So, we slept in and when we got up we decided to head out to the Inland Empire. LionHeart Games had just gotten a book Rob wanted (Sandstorm) in and they also just got in the new Death Knell D&D minis. So, we stopped in there, picked up the book, and picked up a few packs of minis as well. We got to see Chuck Carter, though he wasn't too social and didn't say a word to me. We also got to see Marcelo and we talked with him for a bit before we had to leave. Kat and little Marcelo were off at Disneyland. Rob and I need to go there again soon before the weather gets too hot since we have an annual pass. After the game store we noticed a Lane Bryant in a strip mall across the way so I went in to check it out. There were some shirts I really liked, but they didn't have them in my size (sold out). I did pick up an interesting lingerie outfit though - a harem girl top and panties. So cute. Rob's eyes nearly bugged out of his head when I tried the top on, so I ended up getting that. From there we headed to Golden China for dinner. They have such great food there, it's totally worth the drive and I was jonesing for their dumplings. Dinner was wonderful as usual and when we headed out we made a stop off for gas before heading onto the freeway back home. We made two stops on the way home. One was at The Game Zone to see if they had anything new or exciting in. Rob got a magazine and we picked up a few more boxes of minis. We also made a run to the drug store because I needed to pick up a few things (meds included). We then came home and tried to set up our new DSL modem. We finally called Earthlink last week to order DSL. So, Rob was going to set up the modem. He had problems with it and called customer support. Apparently the reason he was having problems with it is because they sent us a broken modem. Grr. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with Earthlink. They're going to send us a new modem, but it will take 5-7 business days to do so. And because we're signed up for the DSL service (even though we don't have a working DSL modem) we now have to pay for each time we dial up. So, we're going to call them back tomorrow and talk to them about this. If we don't have a working DSL modem (and that's their damn fault) then we should not have to pay to dial up until we get the modem. This is so annoying. So, since the people at Earthlink sent us a broken modem we're now on the business center computers again since they're fast. ----------
