Friday night was D&D. Everyone was there and the game was really fun. Our group saved one of the Lords of Hell (Mephistopheles) from getting his power drained by The King of Ghouls. We had a bit of role play and a very interesting and fun combat.

Saturday Rob and I did our usual run out east. We were thinking of seeing a movie, but neither of us were really in the mood for one. So, we stopped off in Lionheart Games (which is now our favorite game store - thanks Kat!) for some minis and binder sheets that can hold the cards for the minis and then it was off to Best Buy. The Best Buy out in Montclair rocks. Someone came up to us right away to help us. We ended up getting a 30gb iPod, the connectors so that it can be used in a car, and a rubber case for the iPod so it doesn't get all messed up. Both Rob and I had saved our b-day money for a special purchase, and this was it. We split the cost with the money we had received for our b-days. After that we made a stop at Starbucks and then Office Depot to pick up a binder and a few more binder card sheets. Dinner was had at Golden China and one again it was super yummy. On our way home I desperately needed to use a bathroom, so we made a quick run into The Game Zone to look around and use their bathroom. When we got back to our area we stopped in at The Psychic Eye bookstore. I was looking for certain candles, but they didn't have them in stock. I did manage to find a super cute fairy pendant that I picked up for Carrie. We then headed home, played with the iPod a bit (that thing is so cool), and then turned in.

Unfortunately, I got very little sleep on Saturday night due to insomnia. Luckily, Rob was the one doing the driving on Sunday.

Sunday morning we headed over to Carrie's place so that we could pick her up and head to the Aquarium of the Pacific. Wow. Her place is incredible. Super nice neighborhood, condo that you could die for, etc. It sparked Rob's and my interest since we would like to buy some property in the near future, but our hopes were dashed when we found out just how much it cost. We now fully realize that there is no way we're going to be able to afford a place in a nice neighborhood, near a good school system, and that isn't a "fixer-upper". *sigh* We really do need to look into moving somewhere affordable.

Once we checked out Carrie's new pad we grabbed some McDonald's for lunch and then headed down to the Aquarium. Rob and I ended up getting a membership to the Aquarium. This means we can now go anytime we want in the next year for free. Yay! We ended up getting a free ticket with our membership, so Carrie was able to get in for free. We had a lot of fun seeing the fishays and were able to see pretty much everything.

Aquatic Minion Update:
- Apparently Carrie's minions are the otters. They kept waving at her and showing off in front of her. I think some of the anchovies also had a thing for her. To that I say, I shall eat the tasty anchovy followers of Carrie! Mwuhahahahahahahaha!!!
- My puffin minions were all sleeping. Meh. And the "infernal twinkie fish" (Long-Horned Cow Fish) was nowhere to be seen. I hope they still have them. Mine was a minion free day. *cries*
- Rob's lobster minions still like him. He went over and waved to one. It waved back. Scary. He also had some nasty ugly fish drawn to him. And he has crabs. There's a section with huge nasty looking crabs. They bowed to him, waved to him, and did a little crabbie-minion dance for him. Maybe Rob's minions are creepy crustacions?

After the Aquarium we headed back to Westwood (the area Carrie lives in) and had dinner at The Olive Garden. Dinner was good and when we were done we dropped Carrie off at home and headed back to our apartment.

Today I'm doing laundry, job hunting, putting songs on the iPod, random things online, and just general house hold stuff. Tonight Rob and I need to make a run to the grocery store for a big shop. Ooooh, exciting (not really).
