2005-06-06 4:24 PM Sick Weekend Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Sick Read/Post Comments (3) Friday night was D&D. Game went well. It was Krynn's wedding to Mephistopheles and the wedding got crashed by a few people our adventuring party seems to have a great dislike for. Poor Aldain (Berek's character)is always in the middle of things. This time he got threatened by a group of sentient eggplants, ended up a few feet away from Asmodeus, and got covered in poo by Baalzebul (aka "shit slug"). Still, it was a fun game. Next game I believe it's going to be ass kicking time as we try to kill Zariel and reclaim the first layer of Hell for Bel. Saturday Rob and I slept in. I'm still sick and my body really doesn't want to do anything other than sleep. Eventually I forced myself out of bed and we got ready and headed out to the Inland area. We grabbed lunch at A&W and then saw a 5:40 showing of House of Wax at the AMC theatre in Ontario Mills. The movie was very weird. The first part was boring, the middle sucked, and the end was really cool. Too bad they didn't make the rest of the movie more like the ending. After the movie we spent a bit of time in the Ontario Mills mall (I ended up getting some cool stone necklaces at Black Market Minerals), but decided to leave when I started feeling extremely sick and broke out into a sweat (even though I was cold). We had dinner at Baker's Square (love their French Silk pie) and headed back home. Sunday I slept even more. We headed to Long John Silver's for dinner and grabbed dessert at Baker's Square. When we got back we watched a bit of TV and then went to bed. I truly hate being sick. My throat still hurts, my nose is still stuffy, I'm dizzy, disoriented, have a bad headache in the back of my head, a fever, was nauseous this morning, and now crap is building up in my lungs. I probably should have just stayed in bed last weekend, but I was getting stir crazy and just wanted to get the hell out of the house. And to top it all off, I'm constantly tired, no matter how much sleep I get. I can get 14 hours and still doze off during the day. It's so annoying. Today and tonight I'm just staying in, taking it easy, and getting the laundry done. ----------
