Yesterday was my 31st birthday. I think I'm getting to the age where I dread upcoming birthdays just because I don't want to get any older. This was also the last b-day (for oh, about 18 years or so) that will be just Rob and I. Scary.

Not much happened during the day. Got some calls and e-mails from my friends, worked a bit, did some laundry and other household chores, etc. Pretty much just a normal day. If I wouldn't have been pregnant I would have been tempted to do what I did last year and get another birthday tattoo, but the turtle I want on my ankle is just going to have to wait until after the baby comes. There's no way I'm getting inked while pregnant.

When Rob got home from work is when the fun started. I knew he was bringing home a cake (the ice cream cake I always want every year from Baskin Robbins) and a card. But he also brought me two more balloons (one's a doofy looking bat and the other is a cat - eeeee, balloons!) and a necklace! This is in addition to the massage and the dragon statue he got me in Solvang. Much appreciated, but so not necessary. The necklace was amazing. For the longest time I've wanted a heart locket, but it's not something I wanted to buy for myself. I wanted it to come from someone else so it would have some meaning to it. Well, yesterday during lunch he made a trip to the Los Angeles jewelry district and got me one! It's a gorgeous gold heart locket with a very pretty design on it. So neat. I was amazed.

After he got home we got ready and headed out to dinner at La Fondue (it's my all time favorite restaurant). Dinner was incredible and since Rob told them it was my birthday, I got the "souls of the children" to sing Happy Birthday to me. Woot! The "souls of the children" sang to ME. I was very happy about this considering there's a decent chance that this might be my last b-day in LA.

After dinner we headed back home and caught the tail end of the World Series. Wooooo-hooooo! Go Sox! I cannot believe that the White Sox, the team that I grew up with going to their games, won the World Series on my birthday. How sweet is that? We also gamed a bit before heading to bed.

It looks like once again we're having plans for the evening changed on us last minute. I got a call this morning from Prenatal Peek saying that they needed to reschedule my 4D ultrasound appointment. The tech won't be in tonight. *sigh* So, we're not going in for that follow up until November 9. Bleh.

I think I'm about to go insane. Amber has spent the past few hours wandering around the apartment and yowling at the top of her little kitty lungs. She's going to every single closed door (the front door, the entry way closet, the bedroom, and the bathroom) and screaming. After a few hours, it's unbelievably annoying.
