2005-12-08 3:13 PM Looking For Holiday Clothes Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: So-So Read/Post Comments (2) Last night Rob and I went looking for something I could wear to Morton's on Xmas eve. Not easy being preggers and all. Maternity stores don't have anything fancy in my size and the normal stores I shop in don't have a lot of clothes that fit in the waist and boobs while I'm pregnant. I did manage to luck out at Lane Bryant though. We first headed to the one in the Burbank Media Center mall. I found a cool top that's silk and velvet and that was stretchy and actually fit. Yeah, I look pregnant in it, but I'm 7 months along so that's to be expected! They also had a cool long velvet skirt with an elastic waist (Lisa knows the one I'm talking about), but they didn't have it in my size. So, they called over to Sherman Oaks who did have it in my size and said they would hold it for me. We headed over to the Sherman Oaks mall to check out the skirt at that Lane Bryant. When we got there, they weren't holding it. Some moron had put it back on the rack. Hello? We called to ask them to hold it and they can't even hold it for half an hour? What sort of retarded monkeys do they employ there??? Anyway, it was still there so I tried it on. The elastic waist meant that it fit (albiet barely) over my baby belly. So, I now have something I can wear out to Xmas Eve dinner. Woot! On the down side, I can't find a single pair of shoes that fit. The relaxin has caused the bones in my feet to spread (luckily I hear my feet will go back to normal after the baby is born) and I can't find many shoes that fit. Even the wide ones at Payless were too tight! So, it looks like I'll be wearing some sort of flip flop or Ugg with the outfit since that's the only thing my feet can fit into right now. Pregnancy is such a joy. Meh. After Lane Bryant I left Rob for a few minutes to head and get his Xmas present. He knows what it is, but I still feel weird posting about it when he reads this. So... if you really want to know what he's getting this year just drop me a line and ask. From there we headed back to Burbank for dinner. We were both super hungry and I couldn't think of anywhere other than Picanha where I could get a decent amount of food, but stay within my GD diet. So, it was meat time at Picanha. I love that place. Meat is good. After dinner we stopped in the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory where I found that they made some sugar free chocolates. Score! We then headed home for the night. ----------
