Still tired.

Saturday night I got almost no sleep and not for lack of trying. Ugh. I was kind of out of it on Saturday, but did my best to get ready and stumble out the house in the morning for Julia's baby shower.

Rob and I arrived at Carrie's place a little after noon. We talked to people, chilled out, and did some games. The shower was fun, but unfortunately I started feeling not so good during it. We headed out around 2:15 (luckily we were able to stay for a good part of it and got to see Bryce and Julia open their presents) and decided to try and make a movie. I knew if we went home that there was no way I would be able to fall asleep, but I wasn't up for much physically. So, we headed up to Calabasas to check out the movie theatre we had seen there.

We ended up seeing a 3:45 showing of The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe. The theatre was very nice and the movie was excellent. I thought they did a great job of translating the book over to the screen. While it's not something I will run out and buy when it's on DVD, I did like it a lot. No complaints here.

After the movie I felt horrible. My chest was tight and I felt like I couldn't breathe, my vision was foggy, all my limbs felt heavy, I was dizzy, etc. Now, I've had the symptoms of low blood sugar before so I knew that wasn't the problem. But I've never had the symptoms of high blood sugar. I know that sometimes the body can go all wonky, produce it's own glucose, and send the numbers sky high. So, I was a bit worried that was what was happening. Even though it wasn't a testing time, I tested to make sure nothing weird was going on. Luckily the number was normal. Once I told Rob everything I was feeling he said he thought it was exhaustion from the amount of sleep I haven't been getting lately. He said he's had the same thing happen to him when he's extremely sleep deprived. We headed to dinner at Red Robin (now is probably the only time in my life I can order that bacon, egg, cheeseburger thing and have it count as healthy) and then headed home.

At home we relaxed, gamed for a bit, and went to bed. Luckily, my body gave out and I got some sleep. I was still uncomfortable and all, but my body was just so exhausted that it shut down. I didn't get all the sleep I needed, but I did sleep (both in the comfy chair and in the bed) and it felt great. I'm still tired today, but don't feel like complete ass. I hope my body shuts down again tonight because I could really use more sleep. Not much is going on around here today. I'm doing household stuff and laundry. Tonight Kat is stopping by for a bit and after Rob gets home we'll probably order in for dinner and get a bit more cleaning done.

James Barrie
You scored 40% villainy, 46% crazy, and 33% love or lust!

You are Sir James Matthew Barrie from Finding Neverland. You are more moral and a little out there. But you have to be a bit odd since you are in touch with your inner child and sense of adventure. You are not as concerned with love because you are a child at heart. (Not that you cannot find love, you may have people interested in you, it is just that you have other things on your mind...or that your human relationships transcend the physical).
