Not liking that Gabriel is still at -2 station.

Wednesday I was pretty sure I was over whatever bug/flu/food poisoning thing I had come down with. I was also sick of staying around the house and really wanted to see Final Destination 3 before Gabriel is born. So, when Rob got home from work we headed out to Burbank. I can no longer do a lot of walking, so we needed to go someplace that I could handle. We grabbed dinner at Chipotle and then saw a 7pm showing of Final Destination 3. Finally a film series that knows how to make a good sequel! It's not that hard really, all you have to do is stick to the formula that the previous ones followed. People seeing a part 3 will be seeing it because they liked the first two. Stick to what works and you'll have a watchable movie. I have to say I am impressed with the Final Destination series. The first one was amazing, the second one surprised me and was almost as good as the first, and the third one was very well done as well. While not as great as the first two, it was still a very good movie and is better than a lot of crap that's out there. I was very pleased with it. I was worried that by part 3 it would start to suck, but that wasn't the case. If you've seen the first two and liked them, then definitely see the third one.

Yesterday I had another doctor's appointment at Good Sam. Rob picked me up during his lunch break and when I got there I played Sudoku until my appointment. I met up with Rob up at the appointment.

The first part of the appointment was the usual. Pee in a cup (which is nearly impossible to do now), get weighed (lost 4 pounds), get my blood pressure taken (normal). Then I went into a room and waited for the doctor. I knew there would be another internal check today, but the others didn't suck this bad. During this one she tried to stretch things out a bit to get the hormones going since he's still in there. That hurt a lot. She warned me I'd bleed after the exam, and she was right. I'm still spotting today even. Owie. I'm now dilated to 3cm, still 100% effaced, but the baby is still at -2 station. He just won't come down. Aargh! I want him out! I have another appointment for next week. If he's still in there (I'm really hoping he comes before then, I can't take another week of this) then we'll schedule my induction or c-section (whichever is needed at the time). Please let him come on his own and soon!

After my appointment I chilled out in the employee break room playing Sudoku until Rob was finished with work. At the end of work he came up and showed me some spiffy things he had received. He got the "employee of the month" award for February. He was pretty surprised at this because normally they don't allow HR people to get the award. Way to go sweetie! He got a plaque, a gift certificate for dinner for two to a Mexican restaurant near the hospital, a one month membership to the hospital's gym, a one month parking pass for the carpool spots, and a check for $100. Not bad. It's nice they're finally showing him some appreciation around there.

We headed back to our place after making a few pit stops on the way home. I was really aching from the internal exam and starting to have really bad contractions (we timed them and it was false labor, but a lot more painful than I've ever had it before and pretty much all in my back) so we decided to spend the night in and ordered in Chinese food and watched Night of the Creeps on the SciFi channel. It's a bad 80's alien/zombie movie that I remembered liking. I thought about logging on just for a bit to post, but just wasn't up for it. I spent most of the night in the comfy chair with a hot pack up against my back.
