2006-04-24 2:43 PM Six Random Things About Myself Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Exhausted Read/Post Comments (1) I was tagged by Netter to post six random things about myself. So, here goes. 1. I am a penguin. I love the cold and hate and can't tolerate the heat. Anything over 70 degrees is uncomfortably hot to me and anything over 80 degrees usually makes me sick and pass out. My ideal weather is in the 50's and cloudy. However, I have been known to tolerate below 0 weather without a jacket. People wonder why I would want to live in a city with snow and cold when the weather in California is always so "nice". To me, the places that have snow and cold are "nice" and California is too hot. 2. I am horribly allergic to cats, and yet I have two of them. I absolutely love cats and I'm not a big dog person (and Rob hates dogs) and could never see myself without one. I've had a cat for almost all of my life and even managed to sneak one into a college apartment. I have to take an allergy pill every day and even with that my eyes tend to get itchy and puffy and I sneeze a lot. But to me it's worth it to be able to be in the presence of two wonderful kitties. 3. I'm not a bitch, I'm just shy and a bit neurotic. I absolutely hate talking on the phone and will avoid doing so as much as possible. I'm also uncomfortable around new people and large groups and tend to just freeze up and keep to myself. This doesn't mean I don't like someone, it just means I'm freaked out. I'm the type of person who interacts best in person and in small groups. 4. If I was at the point in my life where I was about to go to college I would not choose film and law. I'd be interested in either going to vet school or med school. The medical field fascinates me and I think I would be very happy as either a veterinarian or a doctor. I'm just too old to do all the schooling and probably wouldn't be able to get through the math classes. I actually looked into doing vet school before I went to law school and realized it would take too long and I would have had to have gotten another college degree. 5. I like being in school and love learning new things. If I didn't have to work or we won the lottery I would love to just keep collecting various degrees and become a professional student. 6. I miss all of the old friends that I have fallen out of touch with, no matter what the reason for falling out of touch was. This is why I'm so happy to be able to re-connect with some of my old college friends. I just wish I could find some of my old high school friends as well.
