So-So

Friday night we headed out to the drug store to pick up the prescription I dropped off on Tuesday night. They didn't have it in stock then so I had to wait until last night to pick it up. When we got home I took what was supposed to be an hour nap. I was just going to nap from 7pm to 8pm. I didn't get up until a bit after 9:30pm. Even then I only stayed up for a little bit, gamed, helped wash the baby, and then passed out again. Yesterday was an exhausting day (screaming baby, tons of laundry, the cats playing "galloping assholes", many allergy sneezing fits, etc.) and I was ready to crumble in a sleepy heap when Rob came home from work.

Today we didn't get to sleep in because I had an 11:30am appointment at Gebhart. It takes us a long time to get ready in the morning now that a baby is involved so we needed to actually drag our sleepy butts out of bed this morning in order to make it to my hair appointment. I got my color touched up. Since I'm now lighter than my natural color it's a two step process and takes about 4 hours or so to do. They have to lighten the roots, wash that stuff out, condition the hair, dry it, put the color on, wash that out, and then dry and style my hair. I stayed the same blonde as last time and love it. It's totally worth the time of a two step process. Margie and Sylvia were there and ogled Gabriel a bit (and so did some of the other customers). Dennis was away again. I need to find a time when he's around so that I can see if he has any recommendations for salons out in the area we'll hopefully be moving to. Gabriel was very well behaved at the salon.

After the salon visit we made a run to a nearby Babies R us. Two hundred and some dollars later (we bought 4 boxes of formula, a huge box of diapers, and a large pack of wipes - babies are expensive) we were out of there. We made a stop in a a boba place and headed down the road to get some gas for Rob's car and then headed onto the freeway. We made a pit stop at The Game Zone for the new D&D book (Armies of the Abyss - so far it looks amazing) and headed home.

Gabriel had a bit of a fit on the way home. He threw his Tigger rattle. Then he grabbed his binky out of his mouth and threw that. Then he got a hold of his shoe, pulled it off, and threw that. He had his sock halfway off by the time we got home. He was not a happy baby. Rob and I wondered what was going through his head. It was probably something like this:
"I'm a baby. All I want is a hot bottle, a clean diaper, and to be cuddled. Instead I'm hungry, sitting in my own urine, and strapped into a carseat facing backwards. When I'm a teenager I'm going to make your lives HELL."

We're back now and Gabriel has a clean diaper, is getting cuddled, and is currently getting his bottle. He seems much happier.
