Mood:
In A Depressive Funk

Things are not going well right now. I'll post the big suck later on when I get to today's happenings. Gabriel's been screaming non-stop lately. I don't know if it's because of the teething (our pediatrician says teething doesn't really bother babies or make them fussy, but I'm really not believing that) or something else, but he's screaming non-stop. To add to matters I've had a headache for the past three days. Sometimes it's just a headache and sometimes it gets to migraine level. The screaming baby is not helping the headache. I've also been in a bit of a funk and am not sure why. There's something I don't feel satisfied with in my life but I can't put my finger on it. It just feels like there's something missing and that's what's pulling me down into this funk. I know, it sounds silly, but it's annoying and I really don't like feeling depressed.

Anyway, it's time for weekend happenings. Saturday we headed out to Gebhart because Rob needed a hair cut. I talked with Margie for a bit and played with Gabriel while Rob was getting his hair cut. His appointments are a lot shorter than mine are. After his hair cut we went to Golden China for lunch and then headed out to the Babies R Us in Ontario. We stocked up on baby necessities (formula, diapers, baby wash, baby shampoo, etc.) and also picked up some chewey toys for him. After the baby store we stopped by Lollicup to get some Boba tea and then headed back to our area. On the way home we made a stop at The Game Zone and picked up a few boxes of the new War of the Dragon Queen minis. Saturday night is when my headache started and even though I took a nap it didn't go away completely. Unfortunately, I still have that damn headache now.

Sunday we stayed in. Neither of us had the energy to go out and I still had that damn headache. We chilled out around the house, played with Gabriel, gamed a bit, etc. Just a lazy day around the house. Rob slept in until Gabriel woke up and let me sleep in as much as I needed. It was nice and I greatly appreciated that.

So, today has sucked great big donkey balls so far. From little sucks to major sucks today just plain sucks. The biggest suck of all being that Rob got a call back from the hospital in Wisconsin and he didn't get the job. It was given to someone who already worked there. Neither of us currently have any job prospects out there so it looks like we're stuck in LA indefinitely now. Neither of us is happy about this. When Rob got into work this morning he also found out that one of his bosses (Diana, the really cool one) had a heart attack over the weekend. She left work on Friday and started having chest pains, pain in her arm, and her arm went numb when she got into her car. So she drove around the corner to head to the hospital's ER. She's currently still in the hospital. I still have my headache and Gabriel isn't helping it by screaming non-stop. Amber decided the litter box was too dirty for her and peed outside of it. And I just noticed that the lounge pants I'm wearing (the orange ones with the flowers on them) are ripped open and ruined like my strawberry ones were a few weeks ago. Looks like I might have to make another Lane Bryant run when I have the time and pick up some new ones. *sigh* So from the big (Rob not getting the job) to the small (my ruined pants) today has been full of suck. I'd give anything to just curl up in bed and not come out for a few days.

The Cardinal
You scored 52% Cardinal, 33% Monk, 35% Lady, and 43% Knight!

You are the real power behind the throne. No one dares dispute or refuse you. Which is good because that's how you get things done. You are also, however, completely corrupt and highly immoral. This doesn't bother you in the least as you lounge around your rich comfortable surroundings, reveling in wealth and authority.
