I've come to determine that one of the most nervewracking sounds in the world is the sound of a baby screaming combined with the sound of a cat yeowling. That's what yesterday was. Gabriel being upset and Sydney yeowling to get into the bedroom. *sigh*

Last night Rob and I took my car out for a quick run and brought home Boston Market for dinner. I watched Blade and we had So You Think You Can Dance on in the background while we gamed. I was interested in seeing who won... and somehow they stretched that out for two whole hours. *yawn* At least (in my opinion) the right person won.

Last night before his bath we found something that makes Gabriel expolode into a hysterical laughing fit that lasted several minutes. Yesterday on Sesame Street they were talking about jumping being good exercise. Remember him trying to touch his toes last Friday after they showed him how to do that? Well, now he's trying to jump. When I hold him and he's standing he starts to jump. So Rob started to jump. And Rob jumping was the funniest thing Gabriel had ever seen and that sent him into a hysterical laughing fit. When Gabriel was still laughing a few minutes after Rob jumped, both Rob and I started lauging. We were all laughing for a good few minutes. And when we stopped Rob jumped up and down a few times again and Gabriel lost it laughing again. He thinks seeing Daddy jump is hilarious. It was so cute. I wasn't about to see if he thought my jumping was cute because I'd probably have two black eyes from my boobs if I tried something like that.

Gabriel was very good last night and managed to, for the most part, sleep through the night. He woke up once after we just put him down with what could only have been a nightmare. He was crying something fierce, but still sleeping. We picked him up and woke him up and he looked terrified. So we turned on the light and calmed him down. I sat with him in the rocker and let him know that he was safe and that his Daddy and I would protect him. He finally calmed down and went back to sleep and slept from 1am until 6am. Hey, that's sleeping through the night for us these days! I have to wonder what someone his age has nightmares about. Maybe his traumatic birth? Poor little guy.

Today I'm washing up a whole new batch of Gabriel's clothing. He's already outgrown his 3-6 month clothing and his 6 month clothing is also starting to get a bit snug. So, today's main task (other than hanging out with Gabriel) is to wash up all of the 6-9 and 9 month clothes so that he can start wearing them tonight! His 6 month birthday is tomorrow and he's getting a whole new wardrobe, some cool toys, his first taste of solid food (rice cereal), and to see Berek and Pita for D&D tomorrow night. I can't believe that he's going to be 6 months old tomorrow. Time really does fly.

My finger is still green and the green patch is getting bigger. I'm going to suck it up and have Rob try to stick a needle into it tonight to see if we can get the green stuff out and some peroxide in. I was hoping it would take care of itself, but it's only getting worse. This sucks.
