Bold if it's true. Plain text if it's not. Explanations in italics.

Signs You're A Mommy

1. You knowingly wear clothes with spit up stains on them and don't care. I do wear clothes with spit up stains on them, but I do care and try to change into something clean whenever possible.
2. You can feed a toddler, baby, dog, make coffee and do dishes all at the same time. I don't have a toddler or a dog and I don't make coffee. I usually try and feed Gabriel without other distractions.
3. You talk about poop and it doesn't phase you at all. Of course it doesn't phase me, I have a Poopchuck.
4. You take a shower, go to the bathroom and change clothes and rarely ever have privacy during any of them. I only have privacy if Rob is around to watch Gabriel.
5. Your hair hasn't seen a hair dryer or flat iron in weeks and is up in a ponytail most days. I dry my hair any day I'm going out of the house, I don't flat iron because of the damage, and I almost never have my hair up in a ponytail. There are days (when I'm around the house) that I don't bother drying it and it looks like a rat's nest though.
6. You stop wearing jewlery because your baby pulls on it. Hell no, I like my jewelry. I just take it out of his hands along with my hair. Besides, he usually prefers pulling on my hair.
7. You spend some weeks just living out of your laundry basket because you didn't have time to put the clean clothes away. If I don't have the time to put the clothes away I wait and do it when Rob's home. The clean laundry is always put away.
8. You are having a phone conversation and your child is either whining, trying to rip the phone out of your hands or trying to push the buttons on the phone. Um... yeah. And when he gets ahold of it he tries to cram the antenna into his mouth.
9. Some days you can't navigate through your house without stepping on a toy or stubbing your toe on a bouncy seat, exersaucer, etc. With a play pen, bassinet, bouncy seat, swing, and all the other stuff we have to cram into our small apartment, it's nearly impossible to navigate though here anymore.
10. Your idea of being "dressed up" means no sweats. While I tend to wear a lot of lounge pants and casual clothes, I'll always consider "dressed up" to be a suit or something like that.
11. You can serve dinner, clean up, give baths, and get everyone in bed in less than 1 hour. Hell no.
12. You haven't had your hair colored in months and it's not the end of the world. Just because I'm a Mom now doesn't mean I'm letting myself go. That's what weekends were made for.
13. When you go out and have your diaper bag with everything in it just in case the baby needs anything but you left your wallet at home. Not yet, but then again I have my purse right by the door.
14. Your purse and diaper bag have become one in the same. Nope. I don't think I could fit the stuff from my purse into the diaper bag.
15. When your whole goal for the day is to get the kids to nap at the same time. I only have one.
16. When you are actually relieved when your mother in law comes over to help. My mother in law lives too far away to just drop by and help with the baby. Though I'd be relieved if ANYONE came to give me a hand.
17. When a shower consists of getting your hair wet, slapping some soap on and shampooing your hair in 2 seconds flat. Yeah, unless Rob's around to watch Gabriel when I shower.
18. When you are guilty of letting your child sit in front of the tv all morning so he'll stay out of your hair and you can get stuff done. I let him watch a few shows (Between the Lions, Teletubbies, Sesame Street) if he's up for it.
19. You can brush your hair and put on deoderant, all while holding a baby who's pulling on your hair and watching you in the mirror. It should be an Olympic sport. YOU try putting on deoderant while holding a baby. It's not easy.
20. When you come home from work and the first thing you do is ask is if your LO has pooped that day. I stay with Gabriel, so this doesn't happen to me. But Rob does this.
21. 7:45am is the new "sleeping in" and going to bed at 10 pm is staying up late. Yeah, 7:45am is sleeping in, but getting into bed by 10pm is a miracle. Gabriel won't usually let us fall asleep until around midnight or 1am.
22. You have extra money to spend and instead of buying clothes, a new purse, or shoes, you spend it at Babies R Us. Yeah... scary, isn't it?
23. When you can't remember the last time you showered during daylight hours. I get a shower in. I have to, otherwise I reek like sour milk and baby poop.
24. When your baby has a better wardrobe than you. His is definitely cuter.
25. When you tell people they aren't allowed to call between 1 and 3 because it is nap time. We don't have a set nap time, but if someone calls and wakes up Gabriel I will hunt them down and kill them.
26. When the bathroom reading material consists of Parents and Child magazines. I don't read in the bathroom. Besides, I don't have time for magazines.
27. When you start thinking of Halloween costumes 3 months before October. Yeah, but I did that pre-baby as well.
28. When it still takes you 20 minutes to get out of the door even though you already had everything gathered. Pretty much all the time.
29. You know how to use the bathroom (including getting your pants up and down) while holding a baby. It's a skill...
30. When you’ve eaten so many cold meals that you think that’s the way they are supposed to be. Food can be hot???
31. When you yell at friends for calling too late in the day when they call at 8 PM. When Rob's home I try to rest.
32. When you dream of buying your baby that cute outfit you saw (but that they don't really need) when your own wardrobe consists of 3 stretched out t-shirts and 2 pairs of sweatpants. I so like buying cute things for him. And yeah, my wardrobe blows now because I can't get rid of my post-baby tummy.
33. When you know that the best sound in the world is a baby's belly laugh. Oh yeah, Gabriel having a giggle fit is one of the cutest things ever!
34. When you hear no sound coming from your child you automatically think something is wrong. Whenever he's quiet I check on him all the time to make sure he's all right.
35. When being Spontaneous is when you actually get up and use the rest room when you need too.
36. When you tell tele-marketers that you are taking care of a baby and that you do not have time to talk... when they ask when a better time to call would be you say, "in 17 1/2 years!" Hehehe, no, but I'm going to have to do that now.
37. When you carry diapers/wipes, pacis and toys with you, yet you have no make-up. Though I didn't wear much make-up before Gabriel.
38. Your idea of exercise involves running around doing laundry, getting diapers/clothes, putting pacis back in, etc. Not that I have time for real exercise anymore.
39. You can't remember the last time you went on a walk without a stroller.
