Gabriel Hates Carrots

I now know how to keep my neverending headache at a minimal level. What I did yesterday worked and is working today. At night I pop a Motrin and slap a cold pack on my head. The cold pack and Motrin keep my headache from becoming bad in my sleep. Then, during the day, I keep myself on Excedrin Migraine at the slightst twinge of bad pain. Seems to be working, though I am still somewhat dizzy (I'm chalking that up to lack of sleep).

Last night we needed to get my car out so we made an ATM run and then grabbed some foodage to bring home for dinner. We ate and then we tried to feed Gabriel carrots. He now hates carrots. He makes a sour face, spits them out, and then has a crying fit until he gets a bottle. *sigh* So much for the carrots. Maybe we'll have better luck with the green beans this Friday. There wasn't anything watchable on TV last night so we just gamed a bit and played with Gabriel.

At this point, Gabriel is still willing to eat the rice cereal. And he seems to like it, so at least there's some solid food he's willing to eat. Before bed last night we fed him rice cereal and then he had 8 ounces (a full large bottle) of formula. He still didn't sleep through the night! Aargh!

Rob had another phone interview this morning with another hospital in Milwaukee. Things went well and he has a face to face interview next month. So, now we're scrambling to try and set things up. If Gabriel and I go out there with him and he doesn't get the job or the place needs some time to think things over then we're screwed and can't head out there for Halloween because Rob wouldn't be able to get more time off from work. If we don't head out there with him and he does get the job offer then we need to scramble to get all of us out there to hunt for a place to live. Right now I'm seeing if my Mom could come out here for the time he needs to be out there for the interview. There's no way I can handle doing everything for Gabriel with no help at all for a few days straight. If she can come out to give me a hand with things, then Rob will probably head out there on his own for the interview and we'll go from there. If she can't, then Gabriel and I will probably head out there with Rob. Not sure what's going to happen as of yet, the only thing that is for sure is that Rob needs to be out there on a specific date in mid-September for the interview. So yeah, we're all scrambling to get things together for that. We'll see what happens. The fact that he got a face to face interview is definitely a good sign. Hopefully something will come of this and we can get the hell out of LA. Hey, remember that fortune cookie that mentioned he'd get what he wanted come September? Maybe there's something to that. Yeah, I know, it's just a cookie. Or is it? *insert spooooooky music here*
