Saturday after Rob got home we just chilled out and cuddled in bed for a bit. We were going to try to get some sleep (we were both exhausted) but it just wouldn't happen. So, we finally got up and got ready. We all (Rob, my Mom, Gabriel, and I) headed over to Commerce so that Rob could file his police report. The team they have for that wasn't there so he decided he'd do it another time. We then all headed to Golden China for dinner and made a run to Babies R Us. From there we stopped at Lollicup and headed back home.

On Sunday we all got up early and headed to Solvang for the day. The weather channel said it was going to be 85 and mostly cloudy. Actually, it was about 65 and raining. However, it was a light rain and some misting which I'm totally cool with. Personally, I liked the weather. I have a rain coat I keep in Rob's trunk for such occasions and there's a waterproof bonnet thing on Gabriel's stroller so all was good. With the clouds, the nice crisp weather, and the light rain it truely felt like a fall day. Loved it. I only wish I knew it was going to rain because I ended up wearing flip flops so my feet were wet all day.

We had lunch at the Heidelburg Inn (sausage platter place) and then walked around and looked in shops. Gabriel ended up with some new clothes, new toys (crinkly bug, horsie stuffed animal/blanket, and a tag blanket), a warm and cuddly blanket for my Mom's house, and a blanket to use for the day because he was in a onesie and it was a bit cold for that. Rob and I got my Mom a dreamcatcher that she wanted as a thank you for coming out to help us out. I picked up a few things at the Mystic Merchant (tibetan prayer beads, stone carved wolf, a bracelet for my hair stylist Margie, and a weird little Voodoo doll for Rob which just happens to be a ninja called Highwai Rob). And Rob ended up getting me one of the little Voodoo dolls as well (one holding a heart) and a silver phoenix charm. I also picked up a pair of soft and cuddly boots (not Uggs, but that style with the warm inside) in a leopard print. Too cute.

After doing our shopping, Mom took over with Gabriel and Rob and I went to the De-Stress cafe for massages. He made sure NOT to get the deep tissue again since the last time it messed up his shoulder and sent him into physical therapy for a few months. He got a table massage and I got my usual combo of a 20 minute seated massage and a 30 minute reflexology foot rub. Mmmmm, heaven.

We didn't have the time we wanted to head to any apple orchards and stock up on bags of fresh-from-the-tree apples. *snifflewah*

After our massages we headed to the Hitching Post for dinner (we all love that place) and then headed home. By the time we were on the road home the rain had stopped. So, we got to enjoy a nice rainy day when we were outside, but didn't have to worry about it messing up our drive home. Oh, it's nice to be up in Solvang when it's raining because it's not really crowded at all.

My Mom's still here (she's leaving Wednesday morning) and so I got to sleep in today. She took care of Gabriel while I passed out and caught up on some much needed sleep. I slept in until around 1pm. My God, it felt so nice to catch up on some of that sleep!

Rob went back to the Sheriff's station in Commerce on his lunch break today and filed the report. They took it and said they would follow up on the tape. They also weren't surprised that the North Hollywood station wouldn't take the report and that in previous times wouldn't help us at all even when we had the address of the person who was committing the fraud. He's happy he worked with them because they were rather nice to him.

Can't wait to move.
