Last weekend was a busy one. On Friday night Berek and Pita came over for D&D. The manor house where our characters resided was attacked by peasants, good paladins, and various types of angels. *meeps* While we were able to take out the half-dragon hound archons, the others began to overwhelm us and we found ourselves being pulled out of the battle by Malcanthet... the Abyssal succubus queen that my evil paladin follows. We then headed down to the Abyss for a bit.

On Saturday we got up around 9am so that we could make it in time to Gabriel's noon appointment with his pediatrician for his 8 month checkup (yeah, it was a few days before he turns 8 months). He seems to be doing good. He's still a small baby and is at the lower end of the chart for height and weight, but he's growing as he should be and that's what matters. Back when Rob and I started dating our friend Al had one of his oracle moments and told us that if we ever had kids, they would be short. I'm thinking he's right. Anyway, the appointment went well and when we told the doctor what Gabriel has been doing (crawling, pulling himself to standing, walking while holding onto things, and standing on his own without holding onto anything) he was impressed and said he's very advanced for his age. Gabriel got a shot and I felt like such a bad Mommy during that. I know he needs it for his health, but when he got it tears started rolling down his face and he looked at me with a look that said "why would you let them hurt me Mommy". My heart nearly broke.

After the pedicatirian appointment we headed to Cinema Secrets in Burbank. Gabriel has his halloween costumes, but Rob and I do not. The place was packed and neither of us found anything of interest. I did, however, manage to find one of the Teddy Scares that I had been looking for so at least something worked out there.

From there we headed to The Avenue in Glendale. I was looking for panties (I'm ready to wear normal ones again and am sick of maternity ones and the ones I had before getting pregnant from Lane Bryant don't fit right anymore) and some jeans. I found some panties, but they were completely sold out of any jeans in my size. The sales associate there was also a complete and utter moron.

Then we headed down south to the Halloween Club that's off the 5 freeway. That place was also packed. I think we need to start buying out costumes in August or September. We didn't want to sift through masses of costumes in crowded aisles while carrying around Gabriel (and besides you can't try them on and I would have to) so we decided just to get a few pairs of horns and wear those on Halloween. Well, I got horns and Rob got alien antennae (which I believe somewhat proves my theory that he has an alien living inside his belly). We'll just wear those and let Gabriel have the spotlight in his lobster and vampire costumes.

When we were done with the Halloween Club we headed to another Avenue store. This store had one pair of jeans in my size. I tried them on, they fit perfectly, and I got them along with a few other pairs of panties. Since those are the only pair of jeans that really fit me right now, I'd like to try and find some more. But it seems as if almost all of the Avenues in my area are sold out of that style in my size. *sigh* I'm gonna have to go on a jeans hunt now.

After that Avenue store we finally headed home. We were exhausted and Gabriel was just starting to get cranky. We started a new game with the character I recently made (were-rat rogue in a Ravenloft campaign setting), played with Gabriel, and then bathed him and got him ready for bed so that we could crash as well.

Sunday we got to sleep in a little bit and that was nice. When we were up and ready we took my car out to the mall over in Sherman Oaks. I tried on some jeans at Lane Bryant, but none of them fit me correctly. All of the rises came up to my boobs (I have a very short waist) and the boot cut pants make my legs look like tree trunks. I also went to Sephora where I bought some more face wash since I'm about to run out. I peeked in the Coach store as usual, but I was good and didn't buy anything.

While at the mall we toyed with the idea of going to the food court for dinner, but it was packed and hot up there. We saw that a burger place called Barney's Burgers had opened up on the first floor of the mall and grabbed dinner there. It was actually very good and we're glad we chose to eat there. On our way home from the mall we were going to stop at the Boba Bar, but they had closed down. *pout* So we headed to a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and I ended up getting an ice blended vanilla coffee. We then came home and just chilled out. We watched The Amazing Race and played with Gabriel.

Today I'm watching the Poopchuck as usual and getting laundry done. I need to do all of our clothes and hopefully the towels as well.

What type of movie would you be in?

Romance
You may be overtop, but it's a little sweet, just try to keep your head, and stop focusing on Mr. Right... slow down!
