All in all the weekend was a good one. Berek and Pita came over on Friday night for our D&D game. Our characters were given the task of heading back up to the material plane to rescue a Succubus who had been captured by a group of Dwarven clerics who wanted to try and "redeem" her. We killed the dwarves, rescued the Succubus, and found a cute baby dragon who is now Gabriel's new character. Yay! Gabriel has a character!

On Saturday Tina came over in the morning to go over the paperwork and get paid for the catsitting. We talked a bit and she got to meet Gabriel. So, the catsitting is now taken care of for our trip.

After Tina headed out we got dressed and ready and headed out to Montclair for my 1:30 hair appointment at Gebhart. Margie is a Goddess and she made time for me that day since I'm soon leaving for my trip even though she wasn't planning on being at the salon that day. She rocks. I had a bit more red put in my hair and was curious to see how it turned out. My hair is now a light red. I want to see what it fades to before deciding if I want to stick with this color or not. If not, I'll go back to the blonde I had it before. I hope it fades to a lighter red, a strawberry blonde, or a blonde. I'd be fine with any of those. But if any brown shows up, I'll be going back to full on blonde the next time I'm at the salon. I don't like the way I look with brown in my hair. So yeah, my hair is now a light red and I also got a trim to even out the ends.

After my salon trip we stopped at the Babies R Us in Ontario to pick up some formula and outlet plugs, grabbed some drinks at Lollicup, and headed to Golden China for dinner. After all of that we headed back home. We tried to game for a bit, but were both too tired and decided to get Gabriel ready for bed instead. He slept from around midnight until 9:30am! Nice!

Sunday we chilled out around the house for a bit and finally made our way out to stop at the ATM, go to the drugstore so I could pick up a prescription, and grab some food at Boston Market to bring back home for dinner. Sunday night we gamed a bit, watched The Amazing Race, and tried to get to bed early (we started getting Gabriel ready at 9pm), but that didn't happen. Gabriel was awake and playful when we were trying to get him to go to sleep and we didn't end up getting into bed until around 12:30am. Ugh.

Today I've started to try and get things done before our vacation. I'm doing more laundry (as usual) and my goal is to get the sheets, towels, and some of Gabriel's crusty stuffies washed today. That way I have tomorrow for all of the clothing loads. Tonight we need to put together the stroller / car seat combo we'll be using at the airport and on the plane. It's going to be difficult travelling on a 4 hour flight with an 8 month old, but it will so be worth it to get the hell out of LA for a week and a half and to have a chance to look at apartments out there.

Who Writes Your Dialogue?

Charlie Kaufman
Charlie Kaufman wrote the screenplays to The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Adaptation, Dangerous Minds, and Being John Malkovich. "Constantly talking isn't necessarily communicating." Ok, just because you CAN talk doesn't always mean you should. You're certainly a competent, some might even say gifted speaker. But you're flipping crazy! Please remember, making sense, following some sort of definable logic and explaining things clearly are not bad! Try to make sense once in a while, just to see how it feels.
