2008-01-02 8:10 PM First Day Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: So-So Read/Post Comments (1) Today was Rob's first day at work and my first day (in a year) that I was the sole Poopchuck caregiver. Things went decently well. Granted, he had many a fit and once decided to cap me in the knee with a Doodle Pro (ouch), but at least he didn't poop. He's probably saving that up for right after my Mom leaves on Friday. A nice poopsplosion just for Mommy. I got up before the sun came up today. Last night I didn't get a wink of sleep. When I know I need to get up in the morning, my body won't let me sleep. So, I'm going on no sleep. Yes, I took a sleeping pill. It didn't do anything. Hopefully, I'll get some shut eye tonight. Please. This morning we watched TV and he made me play the "Party in my Tummy" YouTube video for a few hours straight. He started his nap just before my Mom arrived, so I wasn't able to get a nap in when he napped. I'm so glad my Mom's willing to give me a hand for these few days just to get back in the swing of things. It's a huge relief. We let him nap for about an hour and then woke him up to get him dressed so that we could head out. We headed to visit my Nana and spent about an hour and a half or so there. We then headed to the grocery store to pick up a few things (including the ingredients for tomorrow nights dinner) and headed back home. Rob got home a little after 5pm. His office is only about fifteen minutes away from here and orientation ended early today. I made Lisa's recipe (chicken, potatoes, and carrots) in the crock pot and it turned out great! Thank you for the recipe Lisa!!! It was delicious (we all loved it) and we'll definitely be making it again. Crock pots are amazing things. You stuff some things into it in the morning, and at dinner time there's a meal ready! Gabriel's stye is almost gone, you can barely even tell that it was there. My ear is driving me up the wall, so much so that I'm barely even noticing the tummy troubles (which, by the way, are still there). Luckily, I got the ear drops today and I'm going to start using them tonight. If they work and I don't need more antibiotics I'll be a happy girl. I always prefer the homeopathic method anyway. Oh, you might have noticed change on the front of my journal... the addition of the Taurus zodiac sign and the Pig Chinese zodiac sign. No, it doesn't mean anything major. I just thought that since Sydney is a member of our family we should have his up there as well. ----------
My score on The What Breed Of Dog Are You Test: Golden Retriever http://is1.okcupid.com/users/130/986/1309867803497835810/mt1105329404.jpg You are most like these breeds: Golden Retriever: Originated in England/Scotland, this breed is very self-confident, sensitive, intelligent, and adaptable. They can be belligerent with unknown visitors, and are very much a defender of their loved ones. Golden Retrievers remember what they learn for the rest of their lives. They are soft, doting, loving personalities who make no qualm about who and what they love. Labrador Retriever: Also originated in England, this breed is obedient, sociable, affectionate, and loyal. They have a very keen sense of smell. The Labrador Retriever learns very quickly and loves to work for its handler. They goof off and play jollily with anyone willing. Their entire purpose in life is to love to play and to play at love. Sometimes their antics land them in trouble and that's where the irresistability of their childlike personalities bails them out.
