I ended up getting a headache last night. I went to bed right after Gabriel fell asleep, took some migraine meds, and put a cold patch on my head. I woke up at 4am and the headache had turned into a near crippling migraine. So, I took some more migraine meds and went back to bed. The alarm went off at 6:30am and the migraine was still there. I'm trying my best to function with this migraine, I have to. If I had my way I'd be lying down in darkness and quiet trying to get rid of it. Realistically that's just not going to happen. Gabriel needs to be watched every second. He's a little imp.

It also doesn't help my head that he's living up to his nickname of the Poopchuck today. *sigh*

This afternoon I'll be making a bratwurst and saurkraut dinner in the crock pot. I'm cooking a lot now and that's scary.

What's even more frightening is that I just ordered a whole lot of much needed cooking supplies online. One of them being a chef's knife... using a serrated steak knife to try and cut up root vegetables has made my thumb start growing a rather painful bone spur. So, there's a whole lot of kitchen equipment coming my way in the mail. Who would have thought that I would be spending my money on kitchen items??? Other items include measuring cups and spoons, a cutting board, bowls, a collander, etc.

I'm married, I have an almost 2 year old son, until I find a job I'm a stay at home Mom, I do everyone's laundry, I'm cooking every weeknight, and I just ordered things to make my kitchen life easier. If someone would have told me this five or ten years ago I would have laughed. This is nowhere near where I expected my life to be in my early 30's. I'm not saying this is a bad thing or a good thing, it's just a thing that is.
