2008-01-19 10:41 PM Reading Numbers Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Proud Read/Post Comments (1) I'm a very proud Mama right now. Gabriel is learning how to read numbers. He looked at the clock today and said "fie, fie, bobby" (translation five, five seven - we still don't know why seven is bobby). The clock read 5:57. He also did this yesterday with numbers he was looking at. He's actually able to look at a number and identify it! I can tell you this much, he didn't get his skill with numbers from me. That's all from Rob and my mom. Is it just me, or is this somewhat beyond what an average 23 month old can do? Today was the day to catch up on errands that we didn't have the time or energy to get done during the week. We went to Babies R Us for diapers and wipes. We stopped off at the game store so Rob could pick up a preview book on 4th edition (bah, humbug, I say... not interested in 4e). We went to USA Baby so I could pick of a pair of Robeez in size 2-3 years (they have T-Rexs on them). We have some hard soled regular shoes for him now, but we thought it couldn't hurt to also have one pair of Robeez on hand since he much prefers those. I ran into the drug store for a few items. And we did our big grocery shop today as well. Tonight we ordered in pizza for dinner and gamed. I also got two loads of laundry done. God damn, it's cold out there. When we were out and about today the temp was around -1. ----------
