The last movie Rob and I were able to see was back in April 2007 and it was Grindhouse. We were out at my Mom's house and she babysat Gabriel for us.

Today we were once again able to see a movie. God, I miss that.

My Mom came into town today because Gabriel and I will be heading to her place tomorrow for a few days. I have a dental appointment on Tuesday. She offered to babysit Gabriel this afternoon so that Rob and I could see a movie.

We went to see Cloverfield. It wasn't playing at any of the theatres right near us because those theatres refused to carry it due to a dispute with the distribution company. So, we headed to the AMC at the Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa. We had some time to kill before the movie and so I stopped in Baby Gap and got Gabriel some cute shirts (I cannot resist shopping for the little dude). We also went into Pottery Barn Kids and Rob got me an adorable flat stuffed red bear because it's name was Sydney and it was a bear. My cat's name is Sydney and we call him bear a lot. Actually, his pedigreed name is Jennifer's Little Sydney Bear. So, Rob got me a Sydney bear. How cute is that?

I was a bit worried about the movie when I saw the people coming out of the show that was before our show. Half of them thought the movie was stupid and the other half ran into the bathroom to throw up from motion sickness.

Actually, I loved it. But then again I'm a big fan of Godzilla type movies. I thought it was very well done, I liked the camera point of view, and the monster just plain rocked. When this comes out on DVD, it will be going onto my Amazon wish list.

On the way home, we saw a pretty bad car accident happen. Some kid ran a red light and hit a car with a woman and kids in it and took the bumper most of the way off. We pulled over with them, made sure everyone was all right, and waited until the police came to give a witness statement. One other witness car pulled over as well. The cop seemed very happy that he had two witness cars for the accident. We signed a statement and then headed off. We grabbed dinner for everyone and headed home for the night.

Tonight I've been doing laundry that needed to get done before my trip and Rob gave the Poopchuck a bath. Rob will be staying here because of work when Gabriel and I are at my Mom's place for the next few days.
