When It Rains, It Pours

Mood:
In pain / worried about my mom.

Last night we watched Big Brother. My knee hurt like hell (and still does). I can deal with the pain when I'm sitting or lying down, but when I get up to walk (even with the crutches) the pain is so bad that it's all I can do to not cry. The pain meds kicked my ass last night and my mom and Rob let me go to bed early even though Gabriel was still wide awake.

I had a hard time falling asleep. My heart was racing way too fast and I kept having palpitations. I think this might be from the severe pain.

In the middle of the night, I heard my mom running to the bathroom to throw up. Something was wreaking havoc on her system and she spent the entire night (about every half hour or so) running to the bathroom with the poopies and the pukies (at the same time). Rob gave her a hand because it was a production for someone to help me out of bed.

So, I'm here with a fractured knee and my mom is violently ill. Rob decided to stay home from work since the person who was going to help me out today was in no condition to get out of bed.

She's currently asleep in our bed. It's been a few hours since she last threw up and she's starting to hold water down, but doesn't want any food. I'm trying to keep off of my leg as much as possible today because tomorrow I'll be on my own with Gabriel. I have no idea how I'm going to do that.

So yeah, today is insane. I'm so glad Rob was able to stay home from work. He said he spoke to his boss and he totally understood. Can you believe it? My knee gets fractured and then my mom gets super sick. Gah. So far, March blows.
