2008-04-02 11:25 AM Unexpected Bathroom Visitor Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: So-So Read/Post Comments (0) Last night both Rob and I were wiped. We were going to look over our tax forms to make sure that the attorney filled everything out correctly and then transfer money from our savings to cover the amount we owed, but we were too damn tired. We're going to work on them Thursday night and mail them out on Friday. We relaxed and watched Hell's Kitchen. Unfortunately, this meant that we had to skip Big Brother. *pouts* Rob gave the Poopchuck a bath. Tylenol PM is really helping me out. I'm actually getting some real sleep. When I take it I rarely wake up because of knee pain. However, during the day it throbs a lot. I'm still using a cane to walk and probably will be doing so for quite some time. It still hurts and collapses when I try to put weight on it. But, it is healing so it's only a matter of time. Today when I made a bathroom run, I had an unexpected visitor. Gabriel climbed the fence that's around the living room and ran into the bathroom to see me. When we headed back into the living room, I gave him a Whopper as a treat to thank him for coming right to me. Maybe his interest in seeing me on the potty will spark his interest in using the potty? One can only hope. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention, I got in touch with my Dad yesterday! We spent about a half hour on the phone playing catch up. I still need to find a time to see him and get his Xmas present to him. He's about to start another big trial. We talked a lot about Gabriel, my knee, and a job that I recently applied for that I would do anything to get. It's my dream job. That's all I'm saying because I don't want to jinx it and because I don't feel comfortable posting about the job hunt and potential leads on a public forum. Anyway, it was nice talking with my Dad and there's the potential that I might be able to get a new working car in the near future. My Mom is going to be out here on the weekend of April 12th to help me with Gabriel while Rob goes out of town for John's wedding (Gabriel and I are staying at home for financial reasons) and so we'll see how much a new car would be with mine as a trade in. I'm supposed to contact my Dad with the amount and we'll go from there. While I hate having my parents pay for something like a new car, I really do need one. *fingers crossed* I think I might look into a hybrid since I need an SUV, but I also want something that gets decent milage and has low emissions. ----------
