My Mom got to my house around 3:30pm on Wednesday (earlier than expected). Woot! We hung around the house and Rob brought Taco Bell home for dinner. We watched So You Think You Can Dance and my Mom was willing to watch Gabriel and get him to fall asleep while Rob and I went back to our room for a little while.

Thursday morning my Mom stayed in the apartment with Gabriel while I took Sydney over to the vet's. I dropped him off around 8am and they told me that they'd give me a call when he was out of surgery (around 2pm). I then came back home and the three of us (Mom, Gabriel, and I) headed out on errands.

We made a run to the post office so that I could mail back one of our Netflix DVDs. We also got a few things at the grocery store and the drug store and we grabbed lunch from McDonalds. After that we did some driving around because my Mom wanted to try and find a condo to show me and then we went to the Virginia to stop and visit with Nana.

I hadn't heard back from the vet's office, so after 2pm I called them. There had been an emergency surgery that morning which had pushed all other surgeries back and so Sydney was in the surgery when I called.

It was great visiting with Nana, however while we were there Gabriel got sick. He had non-stop diarrhea and when we were about to leave he pooped through his diaper, pants, and the back of his shirt getting poop all over his car seat. Poop also got in my Mom's car as we tried to change him. We decided it was best to just head back home at that point.

Right during the poop storm, I got a call back from the vet. Sydney was out of surgery, doing fine, and would be ready for pick up around 5:30pm.

We headed back home where Gabriel had a lot more diarrhea. The problem seemed to be gone by the time I had to pick up Sydney. My Mom stayed with Gabriel while I went to the vet's office to pick Sydney up.

My poor baby kitty needed THREE teeth pulled! He was drugged out of his mind and on pain meds when I got him. It cost close to $500 for the surgery! I really should have been a vet. Jeez.

I brought Sydney back home and even while stoned he seemed much happier to be at home. I eased him back onto food and water and he was able to hold all of it down. Rob brought home dinner from the Machine Shed and we watched the finale of So You Think You Can Dance. The one I was rooting for (Joshua, *drools*) won! Woot! After the show I gave Gabriel a bath and we caught part of The Puppet Masters on the SciFi channel before bed.

Today Sydney is doing much better. It's obvious the pain meds are still in his system because his mouth doesn't seem to hurt and he's still a little out of it. My Mom hung out around the apartment with Gabriel and I all morning. We ordered some pizza for lunch and she took off around 12:30pm. She was going to help my Nana move out of the Virginia and back into the Sterling House. Woo-hoo!!!

She's only been gone a little over three hours and I already miss her. Though it's nice to know she'll be back in about two weeks. I'm finally getting that lump in my wrist looked at and she'll be babysitting Gabriel while I'm at the doctor's office.

You Are 66% Real
You know who you are, and you're pretty darn comfortable with yourself.
Like everyone, you struggle with the parts of yourself that aren't so great...
But you're good at accepting who you are and not dwelling on your faults.
As a result, you're confident, optimistic, and very real.
