Ugh

So, as many of you know, I have a lump in my right wrist. I had it checked out back in April of 2007 by a general physician and was told that it would need to be seen by an orthopedic surgeon. I was also told it was in a bad place and might start effecting one of my arteries. Did I ever see that orthopedic surgeon? Of course not, I hate having to see doctors.

Flash forward to now. It's much bigger, I can see it covering the artery, and I'm having problems from it. My hand is (more often than not) either numb or on pins and needles. I have pain in my wrist that shoots down my hand and up my arm. I also can no longer grasp things properly and I don't even have the movement or strength to squeeze some shampoo out of the bottle. It's getting bad. So, I'm giving in and seeing a doctor about this. *sigh*

I have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon next Tuesday. My Mom will be visiting again then and will watch Gabriel while I have my appointment. I'm hoping I don't need surgery. I don't want surgery. But I do need to get this taken care of before my right hand becomes totally worthless.

I absolutely hate it when I know I have to see a doctor about something.

On the cute side of things, I have more in the way of Gabriel cuteness to post:

"Moo. Nom nom nom nom. Cow cookie."

Rob: "Cookie starts with..."
Gabriel: "Cookie.
Rob: "Cookie starts with C."
Gabriel: "O. W. Cow. Mooooooo."

If I spell F-O-X, he says fox. If I spell B-O-X, he says box. If I spell C-A-T, he starts to meow.

You Are a Realist
You don't see the glass as half empty or half full. You see what's exactly in the glass.
You never try to make a bad situation seem better than it is...
But you also never sabotage any good things you have going on.
You are brutally honest in your assessments of situations - and this always seems to help you cope.
