Dining Room Table

My head hurts. It's not migraine level... yet, and that's probably only because I took some migraine meds when I woke up with the headache. Of course, my taking them on an empty stomach made a whole new problem. The pain in my head is beating along with my pulse. It's not only painful, but also horribly annoying.

On Saturday we did our usual errands. However, before them I needed to make a run to the post office before it closed. I was going to wash my car since it was nice out (50), but the line was super long, so I thought I'd wait on that until there wasn't a long wait.

We went to Fresh Market, Babies R Us, and did our main grocery shopping at Pick N Save. When we had finished with errands, we noticed it was still fairly early in the day, so we decided to look around for a dining room table. Our dining room area is fairly empty and we have no table for it.

We made a run to Steinhoffels where we found some we liked (my Mom gave us the tip of looking for solid oak) and then looked around Ashley as well. Ashley was disappointing, their stuff was cheaply made and more expensive than Steinhoffels was.

By the time we were done looking at dining room tables, it was getting late so we grabbed some pizza from Buca for dinner. Much to our surprise, Gabriel actually ate some of our pizza and liked it. If we can get this kid to start eating pizza, I'll consider it a food victory.

Sunday we went back to Steinhoffel's and decided on the medium color (there was only light and medium) solid oak dining room table. We bought it, scheduled delivery for next Sunday, and were out of there in very quick time. Gabriel got fussy and we were able to calm him down with a lollipop. Yeah, he was the sticky kid, but he was also the quiet kid.

We also made a stop at the Good Harvest market to grab some vegan lunches for me (the Amy's frozen food ones are SO good). For dinner we picked up Dim Sum and that didn't sit well with me at all.

Not much is going on around here today. I'm watching Gabriel (and Gabriel is watching one of the Pokemon movies on Cartoon Network - he LOVES Pokemon) and I'm getting four loads of laundry done today.

Our water softener is having problems. The thing that holds the salt is leaking where the tubes come out of it and the back of the container is covered in a weird salty sludge. Rob called Culligan this morning and they'll be coming to look at it on the morning of the 19th, when my Mom is here. That way she can look after Gabriel while I go downstairs to let them in and work with the repair guy.
