Last weekend was a very good weekend. Especially Sunday. It was also rather productive. I just wish it would have lasted longer.

Friday night we watched our Netflix DVD of Quarantine. All in all, it was a fairly good movie. Very gory and very creepy and more rabies/disease than zombie flick, but all in all, I rather enjoyed it.

Saturday, as usual, was our day of errands. We made a run to the post office in the morning to mail our bills and our taxes. We then went to Carenza so that Rob could pick up some hair gunk, grabbed drinks and Starbucks, and then headed to an Italian deli for lunch. After lunch we went to The Fresh Market for foodage, the drug store for my BC script, and then dropped stuff off at home. After that we went to another drug store for some OTC meds and then to Pick N Save for our main grocery shop of the week. We ran the groceries home and then made another run out to Kohls because Rob needed some new work shoes. We grabbed take out from PF Changs for dinner and came home and gamed.

Sunday was our day of fun. We made a run to Fresh Market to pick up food to cook for dinner and then stopped at Babies R Us for some new sippy cups for Gabriel. He doesn't like the straw ones any more, so we got him some regular ones with lids so that he doesn't get his juice and milk everywhere. He can drink from a regular cup just fine, but he also thinks it's funny to turn a regular cup upside down and get his juice or milk everywhere.

We dropped the stuff off at home, and then headed over to the Mayfair mall. We were going to take Gabriel to see the Easter Bunny and hoped that he wouldn't freak out about it like he did last year (and the last two years with Santa). I hyped it up all morning - that he was going to see a giany bunny, the Easter Bunny, and how cool that was. I think that helped a lot. When we got to the mall the bunny was on break and Gabriel was not happy about that at all.

So, we looked around the mall a bit. I looked in the Coach store and we got some Ben and Jerrys chocolate ice cream for Gabriel. Gabriel also got a free sample of a cheesecake truffle in the Godiva store. The Easter Bunny came back from break and I knew that hyping it up was a good thing when he didn't want to have to wait in line.

This time, we had Easter Bunny success! He walked up to the Easter Bunny and climbed right up on his lap. He posed for the picture (so cute, smiling and holding the Bunny's hand) and didn't want to get off of the Bunny's lap. Even when he was all done, he ran back and pet the Bunny's leg. We got the Easter Bunny pics (they will be sent out to the family soonish) and Gabriel got a paper crown with bunny ears on it. He wore it for the rest of the day and kept calling himself the Bunny King.

Before leaving the mall we grabbed some pretzels and then headed out. On the way home we stopped at Steak and Shake for some soda (diet vanilla coke for me) and then headed back home for the night.

Sunday night we grilled burgers for dinner and watched The Amazing Race and The Apprentice.

Today, it's back to my normal weekday routine. Spend time with Gabriel, look for a job, and get the laundry (in this case, towels) done.
