I Hate Pull Ups

Pull Up diapers are the devil's creation. I hate them. Sure, they're convenient for potty training. They're more like diapers and can easily be pulled down when the child wants to use the potty. If they pee in their diaper, the pull up will absorb it like a regular diaper. However, they don't hold poop. At all.

Granted, Gabriel is the Poopchuck, but his normal diapers (Pampers Cruisers) hold his poop just fine (most of the time). The Pull Ups don't hold it at all. Ever. If he poops in a Pull Up, we have a problem. The poop leaks out all over the place. So, yeah. I'm back to trying to potty train with regular diapers because I'm sick of cleaning up poop off of Gabriel's legs and pants. Ugh.

Potty training is quite an adventure. Last weekend he wanted to use the potty constantly. Now, he doesn't want anything to do with it. I'm not going to push him on this, he doesn't start preschool until about a year from now and he doesn't need to be in daycare yet. Besides, he's stubborn and resistant to being told what to do. The last thing I want to do is undo the progress that we made last weekend. *sigh* This is karma, you know that? I think I was 13 when I was potty trained. Nyah.

Today is Rob's birthday. So, drop him an e-mail or bother him with phone calls if you have the chance. He has to be at work working his butt off on reports all day today. No fun. E-mail me during work hours and I'll give you his cell number if you want to bother him with happy birthday calls all day. Hehehe. He's 34. Always playing catch up with me.

The Squirrel

Domestic, Solitary, Serious, Emotional: you are the Squirrel! Squirrel people tend to be organized, thrifty, prepared for anything, slightly obsessive. Squirrel medicine teaches the benefit of good planning, looking towards the future, and conservation. The squirrel is a symbol of delayed gratification, resourcefulness, agility, and foresight.
