Friday night we watched Cthulhu. I had heard two different things about this movie - some say it's really good, others say that it's horrible and Tori Spelling brings the movie down. I thought it was fantastic. It was very well done and had a Lovecraft feel throughout the entire film. And for the record, Tori Spelling was very well cast. I'd recommend this movie to any Lovecraft fan or even to people who like independant cinema.

Saturday was our usual day of errands. However, in the morning I had an appointment at the salon. Kylie, my hair goddess, is currently on maternity leave. So, I saw Tiffany instead. Same cut, same color, and she did a very good job of it. It was also nice to get to know her and we found out that we have a lot in common, even down to a love of all things Coach and asthma.

When I was done at the salon, Rob and Gabriel picked me up. Gabriel was sleeping so we made a drug store run and a pet food store run as well. When we woke up, we took him to lunch at Fuddrucker's. He loves that place and is rather well behaved there. However, he has taken to calling it "Bugfuckers".

After lunch we made our Fresh Market run and found out that they can't order Gabriel's breakfast cookies. For some reason, the company that makes them has blocked all re-orders. Grr. We then made a stop at the game store so Rob could pick up the new D&D book for this month. Now that they've switched to fourth edition (which I hate) I have no interest in the new books. But, for some odd reason, Rob digs 4e, so he's still getting the books for it.

We then made a stop at home and headed back out to Pick N Save for our main shopping. We then dropped those groceries off at home and went out to grab take out from Maggiano's for dinner.

At night we watched the MPTV (Milwaukee Public Television - our local PBS station) "Great TV Auction". Rob put a bid on a little hippo box for a mother's day gift for me. All the money goes to supporting MPTV. Since a lot of the shows Gabriel loves are on PBS, we're watching a lot of the auction and seeing if there's anything we want to put a bid on. We didn't hear back on our bid on Saturday night, so we assumed that we were out bid on it.

Sunday we got a call that we did indeed win the hippo. Woot! When we headed out of the house our first stop was at a drug store to get some pills I needed. Then we went to a different drug store to get my BC script. From there we grabbed lunch (McDonalds for Gabriel and Taco Bell for us) and headed over to the Brookfield mall.

Rob made a run into the mall to pick up a tin of cashews for my Nana (it's her birthday on Wednesday, she'll be 97) and then we headed to pick up the hippo box (which I won't get until mother's day).

We made a run to Kohls were I got a bunch of stuff for Gabriel. Wonder Pets pyjamas, Elmo pyjamas, Spongebob pyjamas, Wonder Pets underpants, and some sippy cups. We also drove around a bit and got some take out menus from some Chinese restaurants we had never tried before.

It was pouring out for most of the day yesterday.

For dinner we decided to try a Chinese place in Wauwatosa that's been around for over half a century. We got take out for dinner and found out that their food was fantastic. We'll definitely be getting food from there again.

Last night we watched some more of the MPTV auction, The Amazing Race (I'm rooting for the deaf kid and his Mom), and Celebrity Apprentice (I'm rooting for Jesse James).

Nice Job! You seem to know your TV theme songs fairly well. You definitely know the classic TV theme songs but some of the harder ones seem to have stumped you.
