2009-07-09 9:10 AM New Phone (Maybe) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Curious Read/Post Comments (7) I'm considering getting a new phone this weekend. My contract came up back in April, so if I sign another 2 year contract, I can get a discount on a cell phone upgrade. I currently have a pink Motorola RAZR and I *love* it, however it looks like RAZRs are no longer one of the phones that's sold through AT&T. I'm with AT&T and don't plan on changing that. I wanted to get opinions and suggestions on what kind of a new phone to get. So, if you're with AT&T and love your phone, please leave a comment telling me what you have and why you love it. I only use my cell phone for occasional calls, text messages (and updates to Twitter), the camera (mostly for setting a cool background pic), downloading one or two ringtones I like right when I get the phone, and as an alarm to remind me to take a pill that I have to take at the exact same time every day. I don't really need any more than a good working phone with a camera and an alarm and text message capability. I wouldn't use much of anything else. Kenny suggested an iPhone and while those look cool, I just don't need most of the functions of one. I also don't like the fact that you have to spend an extra $30 a month for the iPhone to get some weird special media plan with it. Oh, and I'm very partial to flip phones since they tend to get lost within the black hole that is my purse. It's less likely to purse dial or get all banged up if it's a flip phone. I've looked over the phones on the AT&T website and I kind of like the Samsung Rugby, though I have no experience with the Samsung brand. Most of my cell phones have been Motorola (and Nokia way back in the day). So... suggestions? ----------
