Friday night when Rob got home from work, we headed over to the county fair. I'm not into that sort of thing, but I actually had a very good time. Gabriel was too small to go on any of the rides, though Rob did manage to win him a crappy stuffed pig by pulling fish and ducks out of the water. It was made for shit, but at least kept him happy during our time there.

We wandered the whole fair and even showed Gabriel some of the animals. When he saw a real pig, he called out "Hi pig! Hi. Ew, dirty." When he went into the dairy barn he screamed out (at the top of his lungs) "Hi cows! Mooooooo!" And when he was in the area with the bunnies and goats he started singing EIEIO.

All in all a good time was had, though I think Gabriel's favorite part were the mini doughnuts on a stick. Rob's favorite were the funnel cakes. My favorite was the all you can drink milk for one dollar. Mmmmm, milk.

Oh, and the weather out was perfect! Low 60's and cloudy.

Saturday was our usual errands day. In the morning, I headed over to get my hair done. Same color, slightly different cut. It tapers down more (shorter in the back and longer in the front). I like it, but haven't decided if I like it better than my other cut or not.

After my salon appointment, we did errands. We grabbed lunch, got some fresh corn from a stand, stopped off at Toys R Us to get Gabriel the "Word World" pig, went to Fresh Market, did a Babies R Us run, grabbed Sydney more cat food, and then stopped off at home.

We then headed out again to the grocery store, came home to put that away, and headed out to the hospital to visit my Nana (details on what's going on with her are in private postings).

After visiting with my Nana in the hospital we headed to grab take out food from Buca Di Beppo for dinner. Saturday night we did some gaming.

Sunday we got up early and headed out to the Ren Faire. It was the perfect weather for it. It was mostly cloudy out and in the high 60's to low 70's. We wandered around the Faire and had a lot of fun.

I ended up getting some purple horns, a "tit mouse", and a cane that looks really cool. Gabriel ended up getting three dragon themed t-shirts and a stuffed blue dragon.

We ate a lot as well. I LOVE their garlic mushrooms and had two orders of those. Gabriel ate mac and cheese bites and Rob got some meat on a stick and some jerky. Later on we split a giant pickle and a turkey leg. I also was very happy to see that they had sassafras again (in diet as well). It's root beer with some anise in it. Yum.

Gabriel had fun with all the fairies, especially the Spider Fairy. She even remembered him from the last time we were there. She has a friend for life. He absolutely loves her and at one time put his head through her web and said "I'm a fly".

All in all, we had a great time at the Faire and would like to go back at least one more time this season if the weather is nice again.

My Mom came by our house last night. She's in town since my Nana is in the hospital. We cooked dinner (steaks, mashed potatoes, and fresh corn on the cob) and watched Big Brother. Right now, she's off with my Nana and I'm at home with Gabriel and getting the towels washed up.
