2009-08-10 11:30 AM Weekend of Errands Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) Last weekends was a whole lot of errand running (and a wee bit of sleeping in). Saturday we headed out and grabbed lunch at Arby's. We then headed to the roadside veggie stand for some fresh corn, Babies R Us for some baby supplies, the drug store for my birth control script, another drug store for some other items, and Pick N Save for our grocery shop. Saturday night we brought home salad and pizza for dinner from Buca di Beppo and watched the Netflix DVD of Watchmen. The movie was... eh. I didn't like it, but I didn't hate it. There were too many flashbacks and when the movie is more flashbacks than story, it just doesn't work for me. I don't mind that I saw it, but I don't want to see it again. Sunday we grabbed lunch at Taco Bell and then did more errands. We headed to Fresh Market to grab some burgers and buns for dinner, I made a run to Catherine's to get some black clothes that would work for the funeral, and we went to Kohls where I got some nice shoes as well. While at Kohls, we ended up getting one of those Dyson Ball vacuums. They normally go for $550. But, we had a friends and family pass that got us 20% off *and* Rob's employee discount of 15% on top of that. So, we ended up paying around $394 with tax. All of the money came from spare change we had laying around here for the past three years. A few weeks ago we cashed it all in and got $400 bucks from that. So, we now have the vacuum we wanted and paid for it with spare change. Nice. Mom came over about ten minutes after we got home. When she got into town she spent time with Kim and my Nana before coming over here. We cooked out burgers and fresh corn for dinner and then watched Big Brother. Gabriel did not want to go to sleep last night and ended up falling asleep after 11pm. With the thunderstorm we had, I didn't get much sleep at all. Luckily, my Mom watched Gabriel for a bit this morning and let me get some extra sleep. Today is Pam's funeral. The family visitation starts at 4:30pm. The regular visitation is from 5-7pm. Services are at 7pm. Mom and I need to pick up Nana and then we'll be getting there a bit early. Over 500 people are expected to show. Pam was very well loved. Most of the information about the funeral and tomorrow's burial will be posted privately. ----------
