Friday night we watched our Netflix DVD of The Day The Earth Stood Still. The effects and story were good, the acting was not. It was worth watching, but in general I prefer the original. I understand the casting of Keanu as an emotionless alien, really I do, but how in the world does he keep getting acting jobs beyond that?

Saturday was, as usual, our day of errands. I so did not want to get out of bed, but alas, I had to. Once I was showered and ready to go, we headed out. We grabbed some lunch at Taco Bell and then did our errands. We went to Fresh Market, the drug store, and then to Pick N Save. While we were at Fresh Market we picked up some rotisserie chicken for dinner. So, we had the chicken for dinner and did some gaming.

Sunday we did some shopping for Gabriel. It's time for his fall/winter wardrobe since nothing from last year fits him anymore. We went to the Baby Gap in the Mayfair mall. I didn't find any jeans, but we did get him his winter jacket, a hoodie, and a whole bunch of long sleeve shirts. After Baby Gap we made a stop at the Build A Bear Workshop where Gabriel saw a "Jonas dog". It's a dog with some weird Jonas Bros pattern on it. He loves dogs and he loves that show and I ended up getting him one. He didn't want an outfit for it - just the Jonas dog (which he decided to name WoofWoof).

We then headed out of the mall and took Gabriel to Baskin Robbins for some ice cream.

On the way home we picked up take out for dinner at Red Lobster and then headed home to watch The Amazing Race. We got to see bits and pieces of it on and off because the storm was messing with things and the signal kept going in and out. When the signal was out, the Storm Watch team came on to let us know how bad it was - we already knew. There were torrential downpours and some scary hail. We were under a tornado watch, but I don't think it ever became a warning.

I didn't get great sleep last night and Gabriel spent a lot of the time tossing and turning, which was part of the reason I didn't get much sleep. So, today I'm fairly tired.
